I love this gauge.  I had the black digital gauge for a few years, then I saw this one with the light and bigger reading of the digits.  I haven't utilized the program part (Yet) but I definitely love it!  The light is an exceptional benefit to have.  I highly recommend this.  I purchased mine when...

Good gauge; can't program

Seems to work pretty well, however you should be able to program the pressure settings for the front and back wheels. In following the instructions that came with it, we have been unable to do this. Pretty odd. May have to take it back, as this would be a great feature, given the variations between vehicles....

I received this as a gift and when I tried to use it, found that it didn't fit over the valve stem. The hole in the end was marginally smaller than the outside diameter of the threads on the valve stem. My local store happily exchanged it for a new one, but they were more than a little surprised when I showed them (on one of their snowblowers) that the one I returned simply didn't fit.

Be sure to check that yours actually fits before you really need it.

Intelligent Device!

I got it at Sears for $15 during thanksgiving sales. This is my first digital tire gauge, and I'm impressed with it. Large LCD display. Easy tire pressure checking. In addition, it has a function where you can set the gauge to reduce your tire pressure to what you set to, in case you overpump air into the tires. For $15, you can't get the same device anywhere else. The only downside is that the battery is the "calculator" type of battery, not the common kind such as AA/AAA. However, those batteries for calculator can last way longer than AA/AAA. So it shouldn't be a problem. In overall, I would...

Yes it is only a tire gauge and isn't going to change the world, but none the less, it works great! Some may say, big deal, how hard is it to find a tire gauge???? Well to find one that you can TRUST can be a difficult task. I had boughten two others from various stores, one that had an electronic read out and the other where it "spit out" the result on the stick. Both of those failed----Boths readings were never the same twice on the same tire, as they both had a hard time latching on to the valve stem. 1 readings would be 32, next it would be 42, 52, not really giving you a comfy feeling.... read full review »

Picked up this neat tire pressure gauge the other day. My girlfriend thinks I am crazy to spend $25 on a tire gauge but I love it. This gauge is definitely a nice to have not a need to have as the $5 ones work fine. However, if you want to add a little more ease to the project and like electronics then you need to pick this up. It is very easy to read in all light conditions and the 'beep' lets you know the reading is complete. The built in LED light is a bit of a novelty but works and can help if you are in to checking your tires at 3am. What I enjoy most about it is the ability to bleed air off....

Can't be used on my tires. The head is too deep to fit the valve stem on my Dunlop Honda S2000 tires. Anybody have a solution for that?

Pros: fit my car, easy to read, love the  LED flashlight

Cons: need a while to adjust head so that I can measure my Geo Prizm valve. Price is high.

I purchased this gauge hoping that it would make a nice seal and not let the air bleed by as you try to measure the pressure.  The gauge worked well with my Toyota and Honda but did nor work on the BMW. The tire air valve stems on the BMW had a stop on them and the gauge head was too deep. Fortunately the metal tip on the gauge screws off and I was able to file the tip sufficiently for it to make a nice seal.  It now works well with all my vehicles and I love the quick air bleed.  The accuracy is rated +/- .5PSI but it is very repetitive and appears accurate when compared agains a couple of...

Love the pressure relief valve

Pros: Excellent "indigo" readout with large numbers Pressure release switch lets you fine tune pressure without releasing the valve. Good durable feel. Beeps when finished reading pressure. A good feature Cons: a swivel head may be better for access to certain rims, but did not have a problem with mine. Overall, this is the best digital tire guage I have found found!

No air escapes upon contact with valve stem. Audible (Beep), and visual cues when psi check is complete. Rubberized Grip. Feels substantial in the hand. Super-White LED Fashlight built-in. Wish I had one for every car in my driveway!

As good as it gets

This is a nice tool to own. I have purchased several over the years from Sears and really like the accuracy and lighted gauge. I use this tool everyday checking tires on vehicles. They seem to last me a little more than a year. This tool is one of the best values in it's class. To get anything better I would have to spend 5 times what I paid for this one and I doubt that one would last anytime more. I guess these instruments are all just temporary disposable tools, but this one sure has outlasted many other designs.

It's easy and convenient. Much better than those old-fashioned gauges, and you can easily deflate a tire to the exact pressure that it should be. The con to this tool is that it's made in China, and only has a 1-year warranty. I can't believe that Craftsman would put their logo on something made in China. Why can't they make these in the USA, just like they do with their hand tools?
