This is my second Craftsman ratcheting screwdriver.  My first one (on the boat) still works just fine after 10 years of hard service in a marine environment, but I wanted another one for the house.  Very good quality and built to last.

The main advantage of this ratcheting screwdriver is the on-board...

A neat novelty but overpriced

I saw this item on the Sears website and then saw it in person. When viewing some items online, it's often deceiving if you have nothing to provide a sense of scale. This item appeared great until I had the opportunity to check it out. This driver might be convenient and a bit of a novelty. That's however,... read full review »

I bought this screwdriver years ago and loved it. Few years back I was traveling on business and had TSA take it out of my carry-on. Bought the same one again. Now recently lost it at a job site - and bought it again. It has a really good grip and lots of bits to fit whatever screw you need to get to. No complaints other than I wish I would stop losing them.

Great small tool

Bought this tool for multi-use instated of a regular Craftsman multi-head screwdriver. It is much easier to use and works well.  The tips come in handy when you need a phillips instead of a straight screw driver as all you have to do is change the head.  Saves time and money.  Has standard Craftsman warranty and would be a great tool for others to have as well.

Perfect for Every Home

I purchased several of these for the family for Christmas.  It was the perfect present, small, compact yet powerful enough to get the job done.

Ratcheting Screwdriver

I have owned this model for nearly two years and use it frequently as an aircraft mechanic. The primary feature that I am impressed with is the on board bit storage capacity. Other than a little slack in the ratchet mechanism I find it to be an excellent tool. When the time comes I will return it to Sears for a replacement, as it has a lifetime warranty.

I bought this simple tool to replace a regular Craftsman multi-head screwdriver. I find that using it makes these mundane jobs much easier, and as a woman I find that it takes less work as well.  Simple tool, eases job. Since tips fit inside handle, you have a whole toolbox with you wherever you are so you can change from one head to another and do more than one thing when needed.

This thing is great !!

I used this screwdriver for almost everything. It has all the bits you'll ever need and it's all in the one tool. No searching for a phillips head when you need it... it's right there in the handle. It's great for a gift. DON'T LEND IT OUT THEY'LL KEEP IT. (PS it's magnetized so the steel screws don't fall while your working.) If you need a screwdriver GET THIS ONE.

Overall a Good Screwdriver to have

I do agree with some of the other posters here that the lag on ratcheting system could be better... but once you get the hang of it... This screwdrive is very good to have. The handle is fat, and very comfortable... thus you will not get cramps in your hand by doing alot of screw driving. My only gripe, is that the flat head bits are very weak and break easily... but they can be easily replaced. The handle is made of plastic, but has yet to feel weak or so signs of breakage. I've had 2 of these for roughtly 3 years and they are my favorite to use.

One of my most used tools

This screwdriver is great. It has most of the bits you'd ever need and the ratcheting is very, very smooth and has no ratchet noise. I use it almost every day for everything from light duty tinkering to heavy duty rusty screw removal. No problems, no failures. I own two because I liked the first so much. The only reason I rated it a four and not a five is that there is a bit of slack in the ratcheting, no problem, just some slack. It's really more of a 4.50 out of five for me. Some reviewers have had problems with this tool; not only have I had no problems, it does carry a lifetime warranty just... read full review »

Excellent until now

I have had two of these great screwdrivers for many years. They get a lot of use around the house and shop. I like the reversible ratchet and the large space in the handle for 14 bits. Recently, one of them has had a problem with the ratchet mechanism. I had to lock it and use it like a regular screwdriver. The next time I get to a Sears store I will see if they will exchange it.

Last Screwdriver You'll Ever Buy!!!

Great screwdriver that is worth every penny. The ratcheting mechanism is as good as it gets, the 14 bit storage, the soft grip handle, all are top notch. I have one for home and one for work, and almost cringe at the thought of having to use any other screwdriver, no matter how small or big the project. Until you use one, you just don't know how good it is. I don't recommend you go out and buy one, I recommend you save, and then go out and buy two. You won't be disappointed.

Screw Tips

While using a flat head tip the end broke off. I returned it to my local Sears store in Delaware and they refused to replace the tip stating it was "expendable" and not covered in the warranty. After discussing the issue with a manager it was resolved with a new tip being given to me. Other than that the screw driver works well and is very useful.

Great Screwdriver!

I love having all the variety of bits & the great convenience of the storage in the handle! Can't believe it holds them all, but it does! Works great too! Replaces looking for a different size screwdriver all the time!
