Works but MUST READ EVERYTHINHG on the CARVEWRIGHT FORUMS!
This beat my expectations do to all the negative reveiws I was hesitant. i am so glad I got it!
Every error I got I had an answer for becasue I read the forms and all the info they had. Machine would not measure correctly. Put blue tape on the ends of the white board - Worked perfect. Board senser would not work, wiped senser clean worked perfectly.
Roller error, blew out the sawdust behind the little washer - Worked perfectly!
Any of these things would drive someone to return the unit if they did not know the easy solutions! Everything I have read negative on this web site were user errors. There is an easy fix for everything and they all boil down to maintenece. The vids on U-Tube are nothing. They are NOT the tell all anbd some are simply worng! You have to go to the CarveWright user forum and download ALL 50 pdf's, read them and I bet everything you come across acan be dealt with. I love this machine it works great, but needs someone to operate who is patient and really does all the maintenece work and is ready for a few wrror messages. I am sure their are lemons. This is not a HOBBY machine as stated as most hobyists are NOT going to take the time to get this machine to work.
Lastly you must lube the flrex cable EVEN purchased new. I used it five minuutes the flex got hot. I lubed it wothj the lube suggested on the forum and BANG not hot at all. If a new user who did not know this kept using the machin it would have burned up the flex cable abnd destroy the machuine. But I knew about it, dealt woth it and perfect running.
Sawdust is even in the NERW machnes. As stated in the manual testing is done at the factory for 20 minutes and sometimes they miss all the saw dust. My refurb appeared brand new.
Anyone with issues I would try again and I see no reason to purchase new!
