How long do you need to hold down the buttons during reprogarmming.  I have held them down up to thrity min. and still remotes are not working.  The remotes are still the orignals with new batteries.  Cant seem to get them to reprogram.

Hi ChadHughes-Welcome to MySears!  There is a Craftsman Garage hotline you can call that should be able to help.  Here you go:

You need to get a ladder, up to the back of your garage door opener.

Hold down a transmitter, while on the ladder, and "tap" the square-red learn button on the back of the GDO.

Give the machine a few seconds to "learn" the remote's code and then release the transmitter's button.

Get down off the ladder and try the remote.

After the first one is learned, repeat with any additional transmitters.

Remember to "tap" the learn button, or only the last transmitter learned will stay in the GDO's memory (a feature).

Good luck.
