Most HelpfulI love my Craftsman Deluxe Yard Tractor. I go riding all around my 1.5 acres, a mowing, hauling stuff in the steel Craftsman trailer and reclaiming over-grown forest area.
With its 46 inch deck, this is one of the most fun and productive Lawn and Garden power tools I own.
It's in a dead-heat with the Craftsman...

Most HelpfulI purchased the 46 inch Hydrostatic mower. It was on sale for the same price of the 42" and I also bought the 2 bagger system and the mulching blades. The mulching blades were the best purchase because the bagger is not a very high quality in my opinion. After having a 20 year old powercraft with metal rimmed bags, this bagger (all plastic) is not going to last. Mower has a tight turning radius and has plenty of power to pull my aereator. Has a few rattles because the hood has no latches but so far the mower has been great! The only con is reverse mowing where you have to turn the key to backup....
review »I have been riding my mother- in- laws Craftsman Lawn Tractor for 10 years.I do the yearly maintenance on it. She has owned it for 15 years with no major problems. So when I decided to upgrade from my Craftsman Lawnmower( which I use to cut my back yard), I chose a 42 in.,19.5 HP Craftsman Lawn Tractor. I have owned Craftsman everything for almost 40 years, I have no doubt on the reliabilty and performance of this product in the years to come. Thanks Craftsman.
I just purchased my 2nd mower from Sears . I have a 18.5 hp 42 inch cut Craftsman, that I purchased 10 yrs ago , and it runs great and has been a good mower, but needs a few repairs for safety reasons, it has been used often and in hard conditions . The new mower is a Husqvarna 26 hp 54 inch cut , it will walk through the toughest of grasses and it doesn't slow it down one little bit , and that's sayin a lot with a big yard like mine . It rides and drives like a new car . I have a few health issues with bad knees and shoulders but I love working with Husky mower there is not any stress on me...
review »I love the Craftsman Garden Tractor, model # GS 6500, except for a couple of oopses. First, the safety switch in the seat. I am not a heavy person, so I had trouble finding the right position for the seat and how to sit so that the thing would not shut off while in motion. Second, Have trouble keeping air in the tires. and Third. immediately after warranty runs out, the pully bracket literally broke. Otherwise it has been dependable and is a workhorse. I use it on my 4 acre farm, not only for mowing , but to haul feed and, like I said for the most part, I love it. Oh, I think I would put a little...
review »I have owned my Craftsman, 42", riding mower for ten years and it has always given me great service. I hit a stump once and had to get new blades, but I adjusted the mower housing myself from the manual information. I would recommend to anyone getting a new riding mower to buy a Craftsman. There is great support both in the manual and online, as well as a store with parts right nearby. We also have Sears appliances in our home and they have lasted for years without needing repair, but when that occurs we always have online and local people to help us. Good work, Sears!
Craftsman 25 hp 38 in 6 speed. Put it on the trailer. Haul it to site, unload tractor, unhook traier from vehical, then hook trailer to tractor and off into the woods for tree and brush cleanup'. Lawn attachments are the easiest to put on/ take off. Makes shifting from lawn/ field mowing to brush cleanup & cordwoodgathering a joy!
I recently purchased a 42-inch lawn tractor and it's great. Nice turning radius and gets the job done quickly and efficiently. With the many attachments available I can do so many jobs around my home. My next purchase will be a snow blade so I can use this tractor during the winter too!
The only con I had was prior to buying the mulching kit, it shot the grass very far and did kick up dust in an area that the grass was sparce.
It works just fine now with the mulching blades.
My next want for this baby is the bagging containers.
My husband just purchased a Craftsman riding lawn tractor to replace his old one. He really likes the power it has and the way it mows the yard looks great. It mows fast and still has a good looking cut to the grass.
I got the Craftsman 1500, had it for over 5 years mowing 2 hilly acres weekly. It's been fantastic, and I must admit I'm not one who takes care of his equipment.
