I don't buy Craftsman because I think they are the best tools. There are better ones but Craftsman has the best tool at the price point that I am willing to pay. This gives me more quality tools than I would have if I only bought the top of the line in every tool considering my budget. About 85% of my tools are Craftsman.

This was my first router table. I have had it for several years and built a lot of projects with it. It performs well for the price but It does have its limitations. Mainly the mount for holding work in a vertical...
read full review »Don't spend alot on a table. Save your money for bits and measuring tools. This table has everything you need, a sturdy fence, a flat table, and a dual outlet on a switch and a vacuum hookup. This table is excellent given the price, if you need push blocks or a larger fence, you can easily make them for the table at a fraction of the cost, why spend more?
First, the ruler gage on either end is not lined up, at least 3/16" out of alignment. Second, the left adjustable panel is weak and springy. Once you have passed the router bit it tends to spring in and cause a gouge on your woodwork. Third, as you push the miter gage down the imbeded track it hangs up on the flat head screws.
I compared this table to those at the local hardware stores and found it to be the best quality for the price. It's great for finish work and can be easily moved from one job site to another.
The Craftsman Router Table (320.28160) is sufficient for most DIY'rs. Went together easily however the screws that came with the table to mount my existing router (Craftsman) were off somewhat so I had to purchase some new 10/32 machine screws. This may be due to the fact that my older router was made is USA and table was made in China.
This is a pretty good little router table for the beginner, especially for the price. My Craftsman router bolts up to it OK, and the table has a nice vacuum hose connection to hook up a shop vac hose to. Easy to set up and use.
A very good value
Good basic starter set up with enough flexability to tackle a variety of projects.
