I have never owned a router table. For me, this router table is a great first buy. I looked at router tables for over two years, but the prices were very high and I did not know what I wanted/needed. Late May 2010, my wife was shopping at Sears and I walked through the tools to kill some time. ...

Router table is ok for the price but, the fence is a pain to set and get just right. There are two knobs that really should be set simultaneously for accuracy and that is not an easy thing to do and keep your fence measurement accurate...It works for small projects but, would not be very effective for... read full review »

I don't buy Craftsman because I think they are the best tools. There are better ones but Craftsman has the best tool at the price point that I am willing to pay. This gives me more quality tools than I would have if I only bought the top of the line in every tool considering my budget. About 85% of my tools are Craftsman.

This was my first router table. I have had it for several years and built a lot of projects with it. It performs well for the price but It does have its limitations. Mainly the mount for holding work in a vertical...

Very good table

Don't spend alot on a table. Save your money for bits and measuring tools. This table has everything you need, a sturdy fence, a flat table, and a dual outlet on a switch and a vacuum hookup. This table is excellent given the price, if you need push blocks or a larger fence, you can easily make them for the table at a fraction of the cost, why spend more?

Ok for the price...

Overall, this is a good little router table. I got it on sale plus an online 10% discount so I couldn't pass it up. It does have issues, though. First, the screws that hold the T Square track in are not flush with the bottom of the track. So you can either grind the screw heads down flush, or get a countersink bit and ream the screw holes out a bit deeper until the screws sit flush (which is how I fixed it). Second, the fence is not accurate. It's made entirely of plastic, and mine bowed inward just slightly no matter how I tried to adjust it. I ended up putting a piece of angle iron across... read full review »

Not that well built

First, the ruler gage on either end is not lined up, at least 3/16" out of alignment. Second, the left adjustable panel is weak and springy. Once you have passed the router bit it tends to spring in and cause a gouge on your woodwork. Third, as you push the miter gage down the imbeded track it hangs up on the flat head screws.

I compared this table to those at the local hardware stores and found it to be the best quality for the price. It's great for finish work and can be easily moved from one job site to another.

Good value

The Craftsman Router Table (320.28160) is sufficient for most DIY'rs. Went together easily however the screws that came with the table to mount my existing router (Craftsman) were off somewhat so I had to purchase some new 10/32 machine screws. This may be due to the fact that my older router was made is USA and table was made in China.

Useful for the money

Good for the money(if on sale) if you just need something to get the job done. I might suggest , if you want something a little more solid, to remove the base, and install your own. Ie: use only the alunimum table top. I did this with mine and installed it on an old Workmate bench, very solid. Be sure the screw holes fit your router if possible. Doesn't fit with my Freud, unless I make it fit with new holes.

Decent Beginner's Router table

This is a pretty good little router table for the beginner, especially for the price. My Craftsman router bolts up to it OK, and the table has a nice vacuum hose connection to hook up a shop vac hose to. Easy to set up and use.

A very good value

Router Table

I have just purchased this table, that was bundled with a router. The table was easy to assemble and the router attached very smoothly. The only problem I ran into was the miter track (factory installed) screws stood proud. I ran a grinding stone over them and now the miter runs over it smoothly. The dust collection system works very well. As I started to make the stiles and rails for the cabinets I am making I didn't have the huge clean up as with my old table. I think you should consider this table.

Good basic starter set up with enough flexability to tackle a variety of projects.

Router Table

I just purchased this craftsman router recently and I am satisfied wth the quick set-up it took to get it going. For an inexpensive router table it does a great job. The above the table height ajustment is an excellent feature. The squareness of the fence to the table is right on. Seems like a good starter router table to start with. I would recommend this table for first time woodworkers.
