Very easy to read the PSI's for me, as long as you keep the trigger on top it is in PSI not Kilograms. This is very solid, and the gauge pops out easily on mine, and retracts when the trigger is pulled. The only thing I found a little difficult is flat bicycle tires where there is alot of pressure needed...

Most Helpful Critical Review
I can't believe this thing has been getting the positive ratings it's received. I tried one and noticed that if the initial reading was, say, 28 psi and I opened the valve for a second or two and released it the thing would read ~34-36 psi. I knew there was no way it could have added that much air that... read full review »

This isn't Europe!

Although it's built well, 2 of the 3 sides of the triangular pop-up gauge are marked with kg, yes KILOGRAMS. Murphy's Law being what it is, EVERY SINGLE time you look for the psi you'll look at the kg, then look for the other side of the gauge which will also be kg, then finally find the psi side of the gauge but realize your darn hand is in the way of that one because it's the hardest to see and most hidden. I've had mine for a couple of years and yes, it works, but I'm willing to pay for another one just to have the normal ease of reading my AMERICAN PSI way. Wish they'd stop pushing the metric... read full review »

Good Inflator

This tire inflator was exactly what I was looking for. It's very solid and easy to read the guage. It's a little pricey and it's a little tricky sometimes getting the end piece aligned with the tire valve, but not too bad. The cheap tire inflator that came with my air compressor didn't even work. This one has worked fine for every tire I've used it on so far. I've used it on several car and van tires, as well as my bicycle and carrier tires.

Needing an air chuck for a portable tank this insures I can gauge the pressure and by having a tire valve on the tank I can also check tank pressure. Eliminating two gauges, or forgetting one.

disappointed

I bought this for my car tires because it is the style I grew up with. It doesn't seem to be very accurate, and the range is too high for car tires. 32 PSI barely pops the slider out at all. If I had to do it over, I would buy the one with the round dial.

Excellent product!

This item is sturdy and well engineered. It's onboard air pressure gauge is accurate and the entire item seems very robust and is obviously built to offer long-term service. Highly recommended.

Craftsman Tire Inflator Gauge

Excellent product. Quick to set-up and attach to extension hose. Great pressure gauge on unit, so no having to use a separate inflator gauge to check your progress. Purchase and shipping quick and easy.

Excellent accessory

If you have an air compressor, this is a must-have tool. It was priced a little higher than I expected, but still reasonable. An outstanding accessory.

My husband has been wanting this attachment for a couple years and we finally got it this year. It has been a great addition to his tool collection. It has made filling up tires of all sorts so much easier for him.

Just get one!

You will be happy you picked this up. It works pretty well. It is pretty accurate and saves a lot of time. Fire it up and get to the pressure you need without switching back and forth between the air chuck and pressure guage 20 times. The only problem I ran into iis when I try to use it for anything smaller than a lawnmower tire. This is made for car tire, truck tires, trailer tires, ATV Tires, ect. This doesn't seem to be very applicable for bicycle tires or pumping up footballs or soccer balls.

The Craftsman Tire Inflator / Gauge is heavy duty and hefty -- should last a lifetime.  The built in guage makes filling tires quick and easy -- no need to keep checking pressure with a manual guage. I found the guage to be accurate but somewhat hard to read if not at the right angle. I added a quick release fitting to my compressor hose so I can quickly change out this attachment when needed.  If you want and easy to use, durable inflator, this is definitely worth the extra $$.
