this saw the craziest piece of equipment i have ever bought! putting it together took all the excitement out of buying an upgraded saw.the only thing you dont assemble is the motor.the instructions are the exploded view of the saw to order replacement parts from.this saw assembly is all the fun of a bad divorce. what happened to customer service? i thought i was buying a saw not a 300lbs. puzzle!

Just plan on buying two wall controllers the first will fail after 3-4 months. The opener seems to be a quality piece it is very quiet and seems to be sturdy. I wish the same could be said about the controller which was the selling point for me. Of course after 30 days this becomes your problem. Good Luck

I use only Craftsman tools because of the their toughness and warranty.  This is a product that I have been wanting to add to my garage inventory.  I would recommend this to all who want a good tool set at a great price, with a warranty that is always honored.  It will do exactly what you need it to do.  I don't know what it means by affiliated with this product but yes I use it regularly.

Cordless tools are great, wonderful etc. until you have to replace the batteries. Replacement batteries can be very expensive. Almost half the cost of the tool itself. I learned this fact after I had to replace the lithium batteries for my cordless drill.

I've had mine four years.  All the good things I agree with.  By looking at things, it appears to me that the unit itself is well designed.  Put together?  that appears to be another story...  Most of the issues with this are that it broke.  When they worked before they broke people were OK with it.  I believe a little quality assurance on the assemly lines could improve customer satisfaction.  People appear to like the unit just not how its put together Sears, why don't you contact your subcontractor and indicate you aren't happy with their quality control...  This is one where that cheap...

I HAVE THE OLDER MODEL 10" BUFFER. I LIKE THE LONGER CORD RATHER THAN THE PIG TAIL.  MY ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT WHEN TRYING TO FINE REPLACEMENT PADS, THEY DONOT EXIST.  SEARS USED TO STOCK THEM, BUT NOT ANYMORE.  AFTER NUMEROUS CALLS TO SEARS HEADQUARTERS I FINELLY WAS CONNECTED WITH A KNOWLEGEABLE PERSON.  THE PADS HAVE TO NOW BE ORDERED FROM SM ARNOLD, WHO MAKES THEM FOR SEARS.  SEARS IS NOT STOCKING THE 10".....BUT STILL SELLING THE 10" BUFFER????  THE NEW PADS FIT A 9"AND 10", HOWEVER IT'S A BATTLE TO GET IT ON A 10".

I purchased this after my main drill (Professional DeWalt) was stolen and I didnt use it enough to justify the replacement cost... but unfortunately I think I went a little too low with this drill.

If you want to do basic drilling and placement os screws I think you'll be fine with this... I needed to do some hole-drilling (with hole-drill bits) and it completely fails at that that. Fails to the point that I think I'll need to buy another drill to do the job. :/

Bottom line - this is a great all-around-the-home drill for doing basic chores and whatnot... but if you ever get outside that realm at...

I first saw this drill at a friends house; could not believe how much power it had;;it twisted my wrist once when using it; I just have not been accostomed to REAL power in a drill.   It charges quick iin 45 minutes; and the lights let you know when it is getting weak, so usually a 20 minute recharge has me ready for the next task.   It does not hurt Lithium batteries to NOt be fully discharged before you charge them again.....I am very impressed

I purchased this set when I was looking for a router with a bit more "oomph" than the 1 1/2HP Dewalt DW-610 I had in my router table. I really like routers with rack and pinion depth adjustments vs. rotating collars, so this model won out. Getting a plunge base as part of the package was icing on the cake. The supplied case holds the motor, both bases, chuck wrench, and the supplied edge guide.

I haven't mounted the router in the table yet, but I have used it for a furniture building project as a handheld unit. The soft start feature gives the operator much more control as the motor doesn't...

I have a compressor that my Father bought WAYYYY back in 1965.  It is a Craftsman with a 3/4 HP motor and a 15 gallon tank if I am not mistaken.  I have used it to Paint cars, use air tools, Sandblast..a miriad of uses..and it never once gave out on me..still runs great.  I bought this one due to the Quality of the old one.  I figured I could use a new compressor in the Garage just in case the old one ever dies.  I have used this new one for about 8 hours total time now and have no problems other than the pressure regulator went a bit crazy.  It seemed to drop down in PSI with every use last...

Craftsman 3/8 in. Reversible Drill

Craftsman 3/8 in. Reversible Drill

I used to use this drill everyday when I was working as a machinist/supercharger technician. It worked great for drilling small holes in seals so i could use a puller. I have also heavily used it for drilling into alluminum. The drill lacks any amount of torque so drilling into stainless is difficult unless you go really slow. It is awesome for high speed precise drilling, but not good for anything that requires torque (as with most air drills). If i have air readily available i go for this drill over any corded or cordless drills. I also love the compact size which makes it easy to hold in small...

I bought for installing a click'n lock cork floor. It worked very well for that and was not taxed. Since then I've started to get into some woodworking and the first thing I built was a workbench. I changed the blade for a quality combination blade and the saw performed well, even cutting 2 inch thick hard maple. I was able to cut without burning as long as I didn't rush the cuts. The fence is a bit sloppy when locking into place but nothing that couldn't be handled with a ruler. I always measured the blade front and back relative to the fence. The miter gauge is pretty cheesy so I think I'll upgrade...
