This utility knife is one of my favorite tool purchases ever. The knife is easy to use, by opening and closing like a jack-knife. The blades change easily in three steps, and it uses standard utility blades, making it easy to keep stocked with fresh blades. The anodized aluminum body makes it very light but strong, and the knurled surface ensures a good grip even when your hands are a bit on the slippery side.

I actually purchased a second one during a rebate special, so it ended up being free. I probably use these knives once a week, for opening packages, or prying small things (not recommended),...

These folding utility knives have been so useful to me to use over the years with Sears.

I've bought just about every model knife Craftsman has come out with.

I didn't realize HOW MUCH I liked these knives, until I organized all the knives I had laying around the house to one of my tool storage cabinet drawers.

Long story - short. They all "didn't fit" in just one drawer.

:)

OK. A tool fanatic working in a tool department is like an alcoholic working in a liquor store.

But, I've used virtually every model of folding utility knife Craftsman has sold.

So, I highly recommend the use of these...

This is a great utility knife that is durable and does its job. I really like its look and the entire design of it as well. Not too heavy. Comfortable handle. Nice patented blade lock mechanism. The one handed opening is really nice. Best of all, it is covered by the lifetime waranty but I doubt that I will have to use it.

I am very pleased with this Folding Utility Knife * stock # 94848*.   It did exactly what I purchased it for.  It did the job a little too well, and yes I did exactly what I was told NOT to do by the Store Owner.  I managed to cut myself the first time I used it.  Fortunately, being prone to cutting myself I keep a first aid kit handy at all times.   This tool is exactly the tool I wanted, it was in stock, and it was on sale too.  I admit to being a craftsman tools nut.  I have only 2 or 3 things in my tool box that did not come from Sears, and I found those on the side of the road.

I have used my red Crafstman folding knife for about 2 years on the jobsite. I have roofed houses, Applied Tyvac Houswrap, cut siding, soffit and facia, Drywalled, Insulated, Opened packages, and when Im not using it for any of that im sharpening everyones pencil. The design is layed out better for left handers. I am a lefty! But I also use it in my right hand as well as my left. The blade is easy to change. The belt/pocket clip is very handy too. It helps me keep my knife handy and in reach. I have found myself clipping it on about everything from my pocket to my suspenders. I give the overall... review »

Well when this style of knife first hit the market I bought a sheffield brand for around $13. I was a commercial electrican and used the knife constantly. I was pleased with everything except the price I had paid. Then I lost the knife and while looking for a replacement came across this model at sears, needless to say I bought it right there on the spot. Then bought 2 more for some friends of mine, this knife is the best utility knife I've ever used. It's light weight and compact, changing blades is a snap. EVEN IF YOUR NOT IN THE MARKET FOR A KNIFE, BUY THIS ONE. YOU WON'T BE SORRY.

Hi, to all that may be inquiring about or needing a knife to have handy. This lil wonder works great, is compact and verstile anywhere you would need a utility knife for a quick cut. I'm sure there is stuff that can't be cut with it, but for the most part, it does the trick. I have several, keep them in the garage, in the house, in the truck, on the motorcycle. Great value for not only getting a good knife, but spare blades, and a nylon pouch, plus hey its a Craftsman!!!!! Got a problem with it, just take back and get a new one. Thanks to all that took the time to read

I use this knife every day at work. The shape works well in the hand for stability. By far its best feature is that it locks solidly in place. Other blades slip and fail with pressure, not this one. The only significant limitiation to the design is that it does not store extra blades. Great pocket knife look and feel! I bought a second one for home.

I saw this knife on a sears store display and thought why not, so I purchased it. This turned out to be the most useful knife. Cut boxes, paper, wallboard ,wire or anything else you wouldn't put a good pocket knife on. The blade change is fast and easy.

I use my knife everyday at work, for the past year. I have a little problem opening the knife with one hand only because I am left handed, and all of us lefty's know this is a right handed world! other than that I think it's a great knife.

It is NOT easy to open one handed like said in the ad. Also what holds the blade locked in place keeps popping open. Case is nice and it is easy to open with one hand. Still wish I had just got a reg. utility knife.
