I was hesitant to buy a stool with a bolted tubular frame. But, it didn't seem that much else was available with shop orientation. I was also hesitant after looking at the display stool in the local Sears store; when I tried to spin around in a circle, it became obvious the seat and/or post was sitting at an angle, causing high, low and canted areas in the rotation.
The stool went together pretty well. There's a heavy reinforcing plate that holds the tops of the tubular legs. The bend angles at the leg tops do not match the plate notches, being off by maybe 8 degrees where one would expect them...read full review »
This is one awesome stool. A piece of cake to assemble. Very comfortable to sit on. I weigh 225 pounds and it easily handles my weight. I highly recomend this product.
