“Great mower for the price!”

The Craftsman YT4000 42" with the 3-bin bagger was delivered. The mower came delivered ready to use (just add gas). The 3-bin bagger was a breeze to attach. “If you buy it on sale its o.k.”

Engine has plenty of power but vibration is an issue. Transmission is great on flat ground but is terrible on slopes. Hi-lift blades leaves certain tall slender grasses. “fair value”

The tractor seems a fair value with pros and cons. Pros: mower deck level from store, driver seat very comfortable, steering is light but slightly vague, oil change system is top notch, engine power is good, engine starting and running is good except vibration. Cons: engine vibration is more than other v-twins I have known, speed control is poor on downhills

Great mower...cuts well, starts easy, operations are a snap. Easy to trim along fences. Glad I chose this one.

“Read All the reviews before purchasing this tractor!”

In 2003 I purchased a 18.5 hp 36" automatic ride on from Sears.  I've had pretty good luck with it until this year when the transmission failed.  Fortunately I had an extended warranty and Sears replaced the transmission.  While waiting for the parts and repair on that I decided to buy a new one and use the old one for a spare.  I chose the YT4000.  I had read the reviews about the vibration but figured, "How bad can it be?"  When I used the tractor for the first time I noticed it right away. It's not constant but it IS annoying!  Also the metal on the hood is so thin (compared to the 2003...

“Great Mower”

I love my new Yard Tractor. I really like the comfort, the controls, the power in tall grass, and the turning radius. It has met all my expectations and then some.

“What vibration mine runs smooth and fairly quiet.”

Have read cons about.

Gas level not visable thru site area ( if you can not tell It is either milk jug white EMPTY

OR more yellowed looking with fuel.

I THINK it is  a 2 or 3 gallon tank. if it looks more like the color of an emty milk-jug add a gal then look at it, you should be able to see the color difference.And now you know you have a gal you might want to mark it with a perminate marker.

Vibration mine is SMOOTH and Fairly Quiet! our old-( Still Working ) 1980 12 1/2 horse V-TWIN Has always been louder compared to this one. at 24 horse

IF yours vibrates you might want to check your blades...

“Great Tractor”

This is my first riding tractor/mower and I am very happy with this product. The price was great and the preformance of this tractor is good. I have a large corner property with a small hill and it handles it with ease. I bought the lawn sweeper for the leaves in the fall. Mowing the lawn is a breeze with the YT 4000.

“All I expected from specificatios and more.”

Surprised at all the value...great turning radius...handlling was great.  Previous mower didn't have hydrostatic..wouldn't do without again.  Engine was smooth and quick starting.  No problem with choke at full throttle.  Bumper and bag system easy to install.  DISAPPOINTMENT....No mulch cover with deck.  I will attempt to develop on using the lower bagging tube.

“YT 4000”

My experience with this tractor is engine vibration, I expected a engine that would run smooth. However Very distasified with all the vibration. May get a new one.
