This mower has met all expectations in the seven months I've had it in service. From reading previous reviews I was concerned about power loss on some of my steeper grades. However, as soon as I bought it I read and followed all the instructions regarding purging the transmission and have experienced no problems whatsoever. The B&S 24hp motor has plenty enough power. Now, I have lost traction a few times, but I've never lost power. The cruise control on my machine has never worked, but on my lawn (lots of turns, trees, curves and hills) I don't think I'll ever use it anyway. I purchased the maintenance contract so I'll have them fix it during the winter months. The only real negative is the fuel gauge (or lack thereof). I would have gladly paid extra for an electric fuel guage option if one were available. The window view of the fuel level in the tank is useless with colorless gasoline.
