These are my first wrenches. I compared these to two other brands before deciding that these were the right ones for me.
I bought these because they are made in the USA and that they have a lifetime warranty. They are very solidly built and they have no problem gripping any nut, even those that are partially stripped. That is if your hand can grip the wrench.
Some wishful thinking would be if Craftsman could come up with better grips on them so if they get wet they don't slide in your hands (maybe rubberized?).
But overall they are perfect.
My boyfriend and I are big DIYer's and this was by far the best buy ever. I bought the 32 piece Craftsman Wrench set for my boyfriend for Christmas. Since then I swear he looks for projects. He keeps them in his car because it seems everywhere we go all our friends and family need/want to use them. They are extremely durable and come in a hard plastic case that has already been dropped 3 times and not a scratch on it!!! Plus they come with the Craftsman lifetime warranty, so if something does happen all I have to do is go to Sears!!
These are professional quality wrenches for a very good price. You can't go wrong with a Craftsman wrench. These wrenches will last you a lifetime and then some. Do yourself a favor and buy these wrenches! MADE IN THE BEAUTIFUL U.S. of A.
Good quality wrenches, if I break one, it's replaced no questions ask.
craftsman wrenches are the most durable wrenches made .... period
i won't use anything else
Great wrenches. I have snap on and these both in my set. Either wrench is great in hand and both have lifetime warranty. Didn't expect this level of tool from craftsman.
I spent the better part of a day shopping around for a set of wrenches that were made in the USA. Finally I remembered that Some Sears tools are made here so I went to the local Store and bought a set of American made wrenches. Couldn't be happier with what I got for the money.
I collect tools. I have snap-on Mac ect. but the set I use are craftsman the wrenches (combinations my favorite) are what I like the best. Made in the U.S.A. reasonable price and work great. Craftsman are tools you do not mind using and are a great value. Also Sears has been around along time. I definitely recommend Craftsman.
I have purchase multiple sets and individual wrenches @ Sears stores as well as online. From ratcheting wrenches to the high polish Professionals and most everythinge in between, these wrenches perform and they last.
If one should break, the replacement for me has been hassle free, instant and without question. Hands down the best warranty on tools I have seen.
I have not yet been unable to find a tool for a specific project or need that Craftsman doesn't make. The selection is enormous and always expanding.
At first, I'm not too comfortable of the extra thick wrenches. Aftering using those wrenches for my auto repair classes (beginning, suspension & brake) for almost a year, those wrenches are still working strong and well. It will be nice if Sears allows mix and match wrenches of different sizes. (regular size 8-17mm & several big ones 23, 27... etc).
The wrenches are heavily built. I haven't broke a craftsman wrench yet!
At first when I purchased the wrench set i purchased because of how great my home tools had been for me........I engraved them all with my name....the second time I used it in a clutch job I broke the tip. I was not happy....however...I took the tool to the closet sears and it was the easiest exchange i have ever done. It was the only time I had taken back a tool for replacement....and i havent take one back since. I havent had to!!!! I must say Sears is my favorite place to go for quality tools.
I have used other hardware store wrenches and they all work the same. But the reason that Crafstman hand wrenches are better is the same reason all Craftsman tool are better; if it ever breaks take it to any store and get it replaced right there and then.
I love my Craftsman wrenches. They've served me well, since before Jr. Highschool.
They got me through some interesting times while serving in an Army Maintenance job.
And, I use them regularly at both home and work.
Not only are the 12 pnt. ended combination wrenches great to work with, but, for working with worn fasteners, the 6 pnt. ended combination wrenches can not be beat.
I'm just coming up to speed with the ratcheting wrenches.
The Craftsman flexible-head/locking ratcheting wrenches are looking very tempting.
But, I have to remember my wife's little Sears Tool Associate saying, "Bring home a...
