I received this as a wedding gift and it broke after 2 years. Cuisinart would not take it back since I didn't have a receipt and they said it's ID number showed that it was about 3 years old. Great great great coffee maker. After going through 2 other brands, I decided to try this one after reading reviews. This one has lasted longer than any of the others we owned.
The timer is a great feature, it is amazing to wake up to coffee every morning as opposed to stumbling into the kitchen half asleep to get it started, and amazing on those days we are running late!
The access to pour is narrow and almost always causes spills onto heating plate, the cutoff never works if you try to remove the pot before finishing and it breaks easily. We gave up on this after a few months and bought a $30 Mr Coffee.
One staple in my family is certain- that is coffee. Me and my husband have 2 of our children in their 20's that still live @ home & each one of us is a coffee fanatic. We have seen our fair share of coffee pots & none has been able to withstand our family like the Cuisinart Brew Central. We've owned this pot for about 3 years & it is FANTASTIC, there really isn't a single complaint i can think of. It looks amazing, it's dependability is impeccable, makes great coffee, the carafe can seemingly withstand anything & it couldn't have a more reasonable price for the quality.

This coffee maker does not leak. The coffee will be ready for you w/the timer when you want it made.
I returned a Kenmore Elite Coffee Maker and purchased this one...I am so happy that I did. I love this one! It looks great, works great, coffee tastes great. I love everything about it.
I myself do not drink coffee but my husband loves this coffee pot . He Swears by it , the fact his coffee has never tasted so good . wich I believe it has to the water filter that it has or the Gold tone filter . It is most likely Both . and when it comes time to replace the filter they can be found anywhere !
A great holiday gift for the whole family, our Cuisinart Premier Coffee Series 'Brew Central' 12-cup programmable coffee maker has an impossibly long name but brews great coffee, plus is sleek looking and dependable. It looks great amongst our other stainless appliances, and the programmable timer ensures a hot gourmet cup o' joe wakes us up in the A.M.
Definitely should be within your consideration set for your next coffee maker.
Great features: Brews fast, beeps when brewing is completed, beeps when it turns off and keeps the brewed coffee nice and hot. The carafe's handle is comfortable. The carafe's lid snaps on and off rather than hinging up when filling with water which is a little less convenient. Overall: Cost a little more, but well worth it.

We got this coffee maker from a Cuisinart-aholic as a wedding gift. Since the wedding we are paying two mortgages and this machine is at the second house.
I have been using Bunn for many years and still prefer the quickness and efficient way they operate. I appreciate making coffee first thing in the morning and so electronic functions are a non issue for me.
With all that being said this Cuisinart makes great tasting coffee. The decanter has measured graduations on the side so you know how much you are making. The decanter has a nice handle and feel. A unique feature is the replaceable charcoal...
