I set out to find a new coffee pot that was able to auto grind my coffee beans. Friends recommended another brand but it was way out of our budget. The Cuisinart Grind & Brew is economical, looks good on the counter and is easy to clean. Leaving the house without shutting off the coffee machine is no longer an issue, the grind and brew does it for me. Be sure to read the instructions.
I've used this coffee maker for 4 years, almost every morning and it's still the best coffee maker I've ever owned. I love the inset bean grinder. I use it as my morning alarm because I am such a light sleeper. I set it for 6:30am every day and the coffee is hot and ready by 6:35am. I would reccomend this item to anyone. I got it from Sears on sale for almost half price too! :)
That's how long I've been using this model. I actually bought a second one last year, but not because the first one broke (it was white and over time it showed stains). I did research on a lot of other models before I bought my second one and I am still convinced this is the best model for fresh ground coffee brewing. It has never let me down. Yes, there are some things that could be better, but the benefits outweight the negatives:
Pros:
- Reliability
- Better tasting coffee
- Fresh pot each morning, on schedule
- Good warranty
- Doubles as an alarm clock!
Cons:
- Steam backs up into the grinding elements...
Automatic shut off a plus 1-4 hr. Gold strainer to filter taste. Easy to clean. Alarm loud enough but not too much. Grinder slightly loud but haven't used it to grind beans yet. Excellent coffee, and lots of it....yum!
This is such a great coffee maker that I have two; one at home and one at the office. It makes great coffee and is easy to clean. Would not want to live without it.
We loved this coffee maker when we got it, we cleaned it regularly in and out, but now after 1 year and 5 months the water pump died, it finely gave a squeal and we unplugged it. We thought that spending more money to buy a quality product we would have a product that would last longer than the cheaper $20 coffee makers we had purchased in the past. Let me write that the cheaper maker lasted longer than this one. I guess we will go back to a stove top purculator, I know my stove will last its a Kenmore. Cuisinart has lost our business.
I like my coffeemaker. I don't use alarm clock any more. I wake up with the sound of grinder right on time! My coffee is perfect every morning with this coffeemaker.
This is an awesome coffee maker. We bouught it almost a year ago and it still works great. The only complaint I have, is that it is too loud :(. Other than the noise, it is a really good investment!!!
