When people mention the word documentary, "boring" usually comes to mind first. But not this one! Sure, it is shot like a documentary, but there are two reasons to watch and own this film: adorable penguins and Morgan Freeman. As narrator, Morgan Freeman does an excellent job of vocalizing the many cute qualities of this tuxedoed animal. One can easily get caught up in the drama, romance, humor, and yes, even tragedies, that come with being a member of the penguin family. The sound track lends itself as a wonderful complement to the events in the movie. At the very least, I highly recommend the movie because it can be watched by the whole family, and we get a vicarious experience of life in the antarctic.
