Great work jeans

We've been buying these jeans for my father since before I can remember, so he's been wearing them for over 25 years. Unfortunately, they've been phasing them out lately so they're hard to come by. But they're great quality and hold up rather well so we only have to buy them for him once or twice a year....

David Taylor comfort flex straight leg jeans were top quality when they were made in the U.S. The quality continued when they were made in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. But the quality has disappeared now that they are made in China. Several weeks ago I order two jeans. Although the labels on them... read full review »

I just purchased this new style of David Taylor jeans for my husband.  He has been a fan of the original stretch denim jeans for years.  This new style doesn't fit properly, the pockets don't look nice because of the elastic waist, they no longer have the permanent crease, and I am taking them back at the first opportunity!  Please bring back the original stretch denim style!

David Taylor Comfort Flex Straight Leg Jeans have a soft finish to the denim fabric. They are light weight and great for warm weather, not too hot and little chaffing. Machine washing and low heat drying provide a wrinkle free finish if you get them out of the dryer at the end of the cycle. While these jeans do not have a permanent crease, they take a crease with medium heat steam ironing that holds up well.

These jeans have a nice fit and finish, go well with most casual wear shirts and best of all provide that two dessert expandable waist line. How can you loose?

I have bought at least 40 or more pairs of the David Taylor jeans over the years but the "New Improved" jeans with the elastic strips in the waistband are a problem as the belt loops in the front are now too far back  to offer meaningful support in the front where it's needed.

I just ordered 2 pair of jeans from your competition and will donate the "elastic band" David Tailor's to Goodwill.

PLEASE STOP with the so called improvements and go back to the original waistband and belt loop design and I will gladly return as the loyal customer I was for so many years.

Sears...if you have the ultimate input into the build of David taylor Comfort Flex Jeans...then go back to the old style...the newer versions are horrible. I'll buy the old style until I drop dead, but I will drop dead if I ever buy the new style. Almost as stupid as getting rid of the Sears Catalog...especially now with the internet. PAY ATTENTION you wantabee execs!!

" A VERY SATIFIED CUSTOMER OF DAVID TAYLOR PRODUCTS

EVER SINCE MY WIFE, DIANE INTRODUCED ME TO DAVID TAYLOR JEANS,  I WILL "NOT WEAR" ANY OTHER BRAND.  I AM SPOILED BY THE FACT- ALL MY DAVID TAYLOR JEANS/PANTS FIT WELL, ARE COMFORTABLE, GREAT CHOICE OFCOLORS, NICE FIT, WASH & WEAR LIKE NEW EACH TIME, AND THEIR PRICED RIGHT.

THEY WASH SO NICELY AND DRY EXCELLENT.  NO CHANGE IN THE SIZE, AFTER THE DRY CYCLE ENDS, AS SOME OF MY PAST JEANS USED TOO.  IT ACTUALLY UPSETS ME WHEN WE ARRIVE AT THE STORE TO FIND THEY ARE NOT IN STOCK, AND AVAILABLE TO ME.

  WE HAVE BECOME...

My husband always wore David Taylor jeans because he liked the permanent crease, the flex denim material, the fit was perfect for him.  Not so much now.  Bring the original D T jeans back, please.

My husdand has been buying the David Taylor brand for many years and was reasonably satisfied with the fit and quality.  So when Sears changed the waistband he thought it might be an improvement.  Sadly it has not.  The jeans are baggy in the seat and are now a poor fit.  When a product is good don't try to change it.

I like the fabric and love the color but I have four complaints.

1) The belt loops are too far apart which causes the belt to rise above the jeans.  2) The left pant leg is twisted.  This did not show until after they were washed.  Dad bought a pair and his did the same thing.  3)  I can tolerate the Extender Waistband which Dad actually likes but Sears has changed the cut and they don't have the nice fit that they used to have.   4) The front pockets are arranged such that when I put my hands in the pockets it seems that I am resting my hands on my private parts.

I will be watching...

My husband has worn David Taylor jeans for years and loves them.  However, the new styles with all the elastic in the wistband are not satisfactory.

I've exhausted my search for the original style that truly fit well.  Please bring back the original stretch style.  "If it ain't broke, why fix it?"

The originals were fantastic and I loved the comfort. The new (Old now) elastic crinkle waisband wasn't the same but I could live with it. Now the designers have come out with, what seems at first to be a new nifty, hidden waistband expansion on both sides above the front pockets. One big problem I find is that when you expand the waistband it pulls the pure white pocket lining into view which  looks horrible when viewed straight on. Also the same numbered size waistband does NOT fit the same as that number in older designs. It is so tight that you have to move up a size. Please go back to the...

The elastic in the waistband is not very durable, the fabric is not a decent quality.  Please, please bring back the David Taylor Stretch Jeans.  My husband's been wearing them for years and is quite unhappy you no longer offer them.
