I live in an old farmhouse without central heat and air. Although I use firewood to heat the main part of the house, I need a little extra warmth and comfort in the bathroom and my bedroom. This Delonghi oil heater is just the right size to stick in a corner and yet still heats the rooms nicely. It is also perfect on spring and fall days when it isn't quite cold enough to have a fire. This oil heater is easy to maneuver from room to room and does not take a lot of time to heat up. It has several heat settings also and is easily adjustable to the comfort I desire.
At first I was skeptical about these kind of heaters because they don't blow air but they do do a great job heating and the oil heats up inside them and stays warn even when they're off for a while so I'm sure they are much less expensive to use than something constantly blowing hot air. They tend to last 2 or 3 seasons sometimes longer and will wear out but I feel I get my moneys worth because some days they are being used constantly because we don't have central heating. Safety, is the most interesting point on my mind when it comes to a heating decision. How can this heater potentially fail , malfunction or hurt my family. Our safety managers at Exxon/Mobil, where I work, teach us everyday to take safety with us where ever I go.
The product in question being, the Delonghi-Oil Heater-Radiator, would in my opinion serve its purpose suficiently and safely. A test of the product, would be in my future possibly as I have heard good thing about it.
