DeWalt 15 amp 12" Sliding Miter Saw (DW718) —

This saw is on the higher price range but I'm very happy I spent the extra money. So far I have only used it for a few projects but it has done everything I could want it to. It cuts crown molding with ease. I ended up buying the fine tooth blade, 80T, which also was a little expensive but was well worth it. The cuts are very smooth, no sanding needed. The versatility of cuts was worth the sliding and 12 inch blade capability. The only problem that I had was beveling the saw right, the motor hit the stalk when beveled at a sharp angle when the stalk was vertical. Through adjusting angles, the saw made the cut, it was just a little extra work and calculating. Also, get the DeWalt stand, it makes cutting and mounting the saw a breeze. Highly recommended!!!
