Bad tasting coffee, plastic flavor.

DeLONGHI Programmable 12-cup Coffee Maker —

I bought the maker because I liked how you can load the water from the front.  I was happy not to handle the maker always moving it out to fill it up.  I also like the long electical cord.

The clock does not illuminate making it hard to read especially when it's located on the bottom of the machine.

One small inconvience is setting the clock whether your setting the auto program or the clock there is only one button, the minute button.  No hour button.  So if you want to set the clock 1 hour back, you have to hold the minute button until it cycles through 1380 minutes (60min. x 23 hours).

My problem with the coffee maker is the water picks up a nasty plastic taste from the coffee maker.   It must be cheap plastic or something.  It still was the same after brewing water through the systems multiple times to "clean" it out and I brewed multiple pots of coffee as well.  The coffee brews fine,  all components work, but the most basic function of a coffee maker is to brew coffee that one can drink.  This is toxic.

I returned the product.  I wont go with Delonghi again.
