Delta Airlines —
So, I travel from Florida to Kansas City about 5 times a year for business. I try to stay with them at least long enough to gain a free ticket with miles. But, I do consistently see delays. The worst I ever had and most disappointing was a layover in Atlanta due to inclement weather from some other place that my flight was coming in from. They offered me nothing in return. I had to stay in Atlanta overnight and was totally on my own. No food voucher, no nothing...and it was very late at night (after 11pm). I was disappointed in the lack of concern for my happiness. Overall on my other flights, things usually go pretty well; hoewver, a few trips have had one hour or so delay (always in Atlanta). The other item I wish I could change, is the availability of their free tickets. They seem to have the 25,000 mile tickets gone quickly, with only the 50,000 tickets available if not reserved a few months in advance. I miss the better food they used to offer. I do, however, like that they are one of the few airlines that allow a free piece of luggage per person. But, I do also miss being able to check in at the curb for free. Now it costs $3. I never use it anymore. After reading my own review, I'm not sure why I ever fly Delta. Maybe I should change to another and see the difference...lol. I just view them as trying to save a buck and not very customer service oriented overall. But, they do have the occasional caring employee. The flight attendants are usually friendly. I have never had a problem with any of them. As far as leg room goes, I try to sit in the exit row if possible. Oh, I have to mention one thing, though. I always have to pack like my things are going to be thrown around. I have had several small items broken, like makeup, or brushes, etc.
