I am a satisfied customer when it comes to the DieHard battery.  I came in with problems with my old battery and when I left my problems were solved and I have had no complaints to date.  All of my previous purchases of the DieHard battery are the main reason I keep coming back to Sears with confidence. ...

Most Helpful Critical Review
I purchased about a dozen die hard batteries for several vehicles and applications spanning the years from 2002 to 2007. None of them are operational today, and none of them lasted for more than 3 years. The most recent pair is why I am calling it quits with them. They die every other winter, I spend... read full review »

DieHard Platinum Automotive Battery - Group... Reviews

Got this battery a few years ago to crank my high compression racing engine. I did this after killing many batteries in the past so I figured why not give this one a chance.

Happy to tell you that not only did it run as advertised, it has outlived my motor and now I use it on my 4X4 Jeep since it takes vibration better than traditional wet cell batteries.

Happy to recommend this battery, can't promise you it's the best out there, but it sure has been for me.

Simply Amazing!

Cold winters can be hard on car battery, and was tired of replacing wet-cell batteries every 3-4 years. The worst is having a dead battery on a cold, snowy morning.

This time around I did my research to find the best battery I could get, and this leak-proof, group 65 Military grade, Platinum was it.

With 930 cranking amps and 135 min of reserve capacity, my vehicle has never started as easy, even on the coldest of mornings ... I'm very happy with this purchase.

I recently purchased a Platinum P-2 battery. I ordered it online and scheduled it for in store pick up in the Spokane Washington Automotive store. As I was planning a trip to pickup a truck that was missing its main battery. My trip went smoothly I flew in to Spokane caught a Taxi stopped off at the Sears Automotive Center picked up my battery. A short while later I installed the battery in a 7.3litre Diesel ford truck that had been sitting for about 2 years. It stared and shortly after that I began my 430-mile trip home, To Albany Oregon. I chose this battery based on it's hi cranking amps and...

Worth paying extra!

I don't mind paying a little extra for these high quality batteries because they last and even when they do wear out Sears will sometimes pro rate the amount I pay for a new battery because there may still be some warranty. They last a long time and it's one less thing I have to worry about!

I just bought 2 of these batteries for in my Dodge Ram 2500 HD. They are replacing 2 year old Exide NASCAR Select batteries that were barely turning over my Cummins diesel engine in above freezing temperatures. I've had to keep my engine block heater plugged in to warm the engine compartment to keep the Exides warm so my truck would start (even with battery blankets). My electric bill is high enough as it is and I shouldn't have to plug in above 20 degrees. The battery technology and construction of these Die Hard Platinum batteries is far superior to any other battery on the market. I had a set... read full review »

I waited until Sunday 16th for friends and family night. I been watching this battery for a couple of weeks just to see if it goes on sale but it hasn't. Well I got a killer deal when I went to sears that night and got 10% off plus I had a $10.00 off coupon. That night after I bought the P-2 Diehard Platinum battery I installed it when I got home. I noticed after I installed it my 04 Dodge Ram truck that it seemed to start quicker than before. I tested the voltage and it was at 12.9 volts. Which is higher than a liquid filled battery which is 12.6 volts. I hope I will have no ploblems but way... read full review »

Read CR and ran out an bought a ****** battery, to replace my 6 year old AC Delco.

To my suprise, the ****** battery did not work any better than my 6 year old battery! I put it on my SaveAbattery charger over night, just to make sure it was good, and it did not rate any better than my 6 year old battery. So I returned the battery to ******. next on the list was the best rated at any cost! Off the sears for a DieHard Platinum. Long story short, I've never heard my engine spin so fast! The battery is packed full of power!!

Funny thing is, the ****** battery was rated at 1000 CCA and this DieHard...

Excellent Battery!

With the recent addition of a security alarm, and the bronco sitting for a week or 10 days without driving it, the yellow top optima battery I had in it was getting run down and wouldn't do the job. Got this monster platinum battery and after a week of sitting with the alarm armed, starts strong, like there wasn't even any drain on the battery at all! I am impressed with the starting power, but not the purchase price!

DieHard batteries have always been the gold standard to measure other batteries by (I guess I should say Platinum now). I have an SUV that only gets driven approximately 10 miles a month and the rest of the time it stays in the garage. As with modern SUVs, all of the electronics don't shut down just because you turn the ignition off - and mine probably has more electronics drawing power than most. Since the SUV get driven so little, the battery never gets a chance to charge fully so there is a constant drain on the battery. I've owned DieHard batteries in the past and I have always found them... read full review »

Better than the red top

I had two optima red top batteries and this one blows them away. Having a car stereo system with a cap installed...the lights still dimmed to the bass. This battery with no cap stays solid. Great Battery
