I recently purchased a battery back-up sump pump and decided on using the DieHard Platinum marine group 31.  I have occasional power outages during storms (most recent outage was 7 hours) and I do not want to worry about my battery life.  The battery has a great warranty and is extremely powerful,...

what happened?

Bought two PM1s and two PM2 this June for my 30'sailboat prior to setting off across the Atlantic for a cruise of the Med. I feed the batteries with two 135W Kyocera solar panels via power point tracking controller (I have seen as much as 18A on a sunny noon), and from my nominally 90A alternator on...

DieHard Platinum Marine Battery - Group Size... Reviews

I originally bought one of these to use as a cranking battery for a 2004 Mercury 225X Pro Max.   I have never had a stronger cranking battery on my boat!  It will spin the 2.5 liter Mercury like it is nothing.   I then bought 2 more PM-1's to run my 24V trolling motor.   In the weeds on Guntersville you have to run the trolling motor on HIGH all the time or you will blow the motor's speed control resistors.  The PM-1's allow me to fish the weeds ALL DAY and still have a strong good power at the end of the day.   I know I sound like a paid spokesman but I'm not, these are really good batteries....

I put this battery in my e39 5 series BMW. It normally takes a group 49 battery that has the same foot print dimensions as this group 31 battery, but this battery is just a couple of inches taller.  Not a problem fitting in the car's right rear trunk side mount and battery cable connection placement.

Since it's an AGM battery life will be at least double, withstand more vibrations, provide more amps for the motor to crank the V8 engine, and the powerful stereo/and draining gadgets in the car. This battery can withstand longer dormant periods and doesn't require charging and desulfenating like...

The best buy out there!

After replacing wet cell batteries for deep cycle use in my boat about every two years, I finally bought this PM-2 Diehard. It is absolutely awesome. The wafer-thin separators mean there are no acid leaks, no fluid to refill, and Diehard can pack a lot more working power into the same size package. Discharge capacity is awesome, especially compared to the old wet cell I was used to. And, the Diehard generally costs less than Lifeline and other AGM batteries. I'm tired of replacing boiled-out lead acid batteries. From now on I'm going only with the Diehard Platinum.

No issues with this battery after many seasons. You can get past some of the negative feedback i've read here by properly charging the battery. Hooked my sterling power usa battery charger to it, and it's still a great setup for my boat season later. no issues. I would buy this battery again.

I have 2 the the AGM 1150 marine Batteries on 27 foot 5th wheel. This is the best Battery on the market. I run a solar charger to each battery though a solar trickle charger through a sulfate set up. This is all one unit. I have talked to the lead person at the battery plant and they said you have the correct set up. You will have 12 years of use out of the battery with this set up you have. Please do your home work and learn how a battery works. After you under stand how a battery work you will under stand why a battery only works for as long as the battery life is. The trick is use the DE-sulfate... read full review »

Best Marine Battery on the market

I installed two of these batteries almost a year ago. They are outstanding!!! They hold a charge well and power the boat without a need to go to the generator. I won't use anything else.

Over a year, all of the other bat. I've purchased would be really weak by know.  This is used in our RV.  Anytime I can just go out and my slides and jacks work great, Holds a great charge.  I will purchase this bat. again when it goes out.  most RV's don't keep a good bat. in it, I do.  None of my 12v's will work unless I have atleast a dead bat. installed.  This one of the best replacement parts I've replaced.  Just went out to the RV yesterday and put the slideouts out and in when I was done.  Buy one heck it is a DieHard you can't go wrong...

excellent

What can I say. I got tired of battery's lasting two years. I bought this battery soley to run my trolling motor for my canoe. I use a Minn Kota 55lb Endura motor. On my first canoe trip this year I was able to go 2 and a half days on a charge. That equaled 30+ miles of river. I did paddle some but I also went back up stream through good fishing holes. It holds a charge like no other battery I have ever owned and that includes the days of bass boats and bass tourneys that I have gladly left behind. Thanks for a great product - Butch from Ohio

Even though this is an expensive battery, it is supposedly made by Odyssey batteries.  Odyssey batteries supplies batteries to the millitary and is known to make high quality and very reliable batteries that can withstand serious abuse.  The Diehard Platinum PM-1 has similar specs as the huge Odyssey PC 2150 battery.

I'll be using this battery in a 1997 Landcruiser FZJ80 that has a winch, offroad lights, CB radio, Ham radio, laptop, GPS and the usual electronic gadgets.  I also run a 12vdc Engel fridge while out camping for hours or even days, hence the purchase of this large battery. ...

Can't beat a DieHard

I've gone through three batteries in four years for my boat! So I picked up a DieHard Marine because I've always had good luck with DieHards in my cars. Now, I have no problems to report and my battery has outlived every other battery I've owned. I'm sold on DieHards for life!

The complete battery

I bought the pm1 this spring to operat my 225 verado and kicker motor. Was told by many dealers, that i would need 2 batterys to handle the load-when running the kicker because it only puts out 7-10 amps trolling, and my ectric power steering system consumes 3o-40amps trolling.Well im sold on this battery dont need 2 main batterys with this thing.I will be buying 2 up front for the trolling motor just the smaller ones.

I've had thus battery for 3 years now, I use it on my LandCruiser 80 Series that mostly sits, except when I go capmiong for a week or two. The deep cycle is awesome and the deep discharge beyond belief! I once left 4 KC lights, 100W each + inside lights + Stereo + ARB fridge on all night! after 9-10 hours, jumped in the truck and started right up! Try that with any other battery!

dependable

I have two boats. I purchased batteries for both boats at the same time. One at Sears the other at a big box store. My Sears batterties are still up and holding a charge. My big box store batteries, cost more, with a 30 month guatantee, died at 30 months. I have just replaced both the big box batteries with the Die Hard platinum batteries. I saved $15 each and now have better batteries.
