I researched this item for 9 months and read reviews of every dishwasher on the Sears site. I decided this must be the one since it had the best reviews. I have now used it for several months without any trouble. It is efficient, fast, and quiet. This is all I needed in a dishwasher.
Kenmore 18 in. Built-In Dishwasher w/ Stainless Steel Interior
Glad that it cleans things a bit better than my old machine but it's by no means perfect. I still see stains on dishes sometimes.
Peculiar that the manual doesn't explain anywhere how the time delay works.
Maytag 24 in. Built-In Jetclean Plus Dishwasher w/ Silverware Blast
Excellent buy for the money. Very quiet running and cleans everything well. The Silverware Blast does it's job. We left in a caked on sauce spoon along with a peanutty knife, both came out spotless. We are a family of 3 with a little one. The bottles on the top rack come out awesome. The buttons are easy to read and push. What knocked this over the top for us originally were the stainless interior and coated racks.
Whirlpool 24 in. Portable Dishwasher
Completely unexpected from a Whirlpool product. A lightly-used product and well-maintained and cared for item in the kitchen has now caused significant pain and suffering. No more warranty and with once per week use (or less) in the last 18 months, it's now puking - thank heaven's I didn't leave for an hour or so while it was on!
Hard to reccommend this under current emotional let-down.

Very Impressed. Stainless interior, a multitude of cleaning options and levels.
All in all fairly quiet, a bit loud here and there but over all quiet.

My Whirlpool was very old, came with the house. Was looking for a replacement, trying to stick with Whirlpool, but were getting bad reviews on this website. So, this one caught my eye. A little bit more than I wanted to spend, the reviews were 60/40, but it is a JD Power suggested purchase, so I got it.
OK, you shell out money for a major appliance, you really do not know what you are getting until you get it home.

Whirlpool 24 in. Built-In Dishwasher w/ Adaptive Wash
Put it in myself as I used to install DWs for Sears when I was in college. The taller tub makes for tighter working area underneath. Had difficulty keeping copper pipe aligned right. Directions suggested taping the lines (water, electric and drain) down to the floor and that's a good idea.
The controls are good, nice having a finished indicator light. Not noisy at all. We fooled with the silverware rack for a while trying each of the three locations. Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher
I purchased a Kenmore Ultra Quiet Dishwasher in July of 2008. It did not perform well: it was not quiet and it left coffee stains on cups, and waterspots on tableware and dishes even though I used the recommended detergent and followed manufacturers instructions. The dishwasher stopped working two days ago; the one year warranty expired 3 months ago and now I am stuck with a white elephant in my kitchen. Kenmore Elite 24 in. Built-In Dishwasher w/ Ultra Wash HE Wash System
Pros - quiet, extremely quiet
Cons - so-so cleaning. On average we have to wash 1-2 items by hand after each load. Unacceptable in my book for a $1,000+ dishwasher. Our previous dishwash (an Asko) did a MUCH better job. We might have to hand wash something maybe once every 3-4 loads. The Turbo Wash is WORTHLESS, repeat, WORTHLESS. We've run it 3-4 times and EVERY time we've had to wash the items by hand when it was finished. We don't use it anymore.
We thought that since the machine was made by Kitchen Aid it would be OK, but it's not.
I'd definitely consider a different dishwasher...

I waited a year to write a review on this dishwasher, as I wanted to write a honest and reliably realistic opinion.
The wash cycles get my dishes spotlessly clean, regardless of the detergent that I use. The Smart Wash feature is a great asset........we like to use this feature when we have had dishes sitting in the dishwasher for a couple of days and it isn't full yet. I have never had one dish that wasn't sparkling clean and I have used all of the cycles.
The stainless steel finish is easily maintained and smudge free with the product that was supplied with the delivery. I find this product...

Kenmore Elite 24 in. Elite Built-In Dishwasher w/ Ultra Wash HE Filtration
We replaced a ten year old Kitchen Aid DW three months ago with this unit. We really comparison shopped. This was the best value for the dollar. Make sure the space available will match the units specs. Ours did. It is quiet and very efficient and the dishes look superb when they come out.
All we do is hit Smart Wash and hit the start button and we are outta there. We do clean the food off the dishes and pots before we put them in the DW. Also you really want to use a Rinse aid -- This is VERY important. Follow the directions from Kenmore and you will get spotless dishes, silverware and pans....

I spent a lot of time researching for a dishwasher that would be quiet, energy & water efficient, clean well, and rated well by ****************. I initially was going to buy a Bosch, but ended up buying the Kenmore Elite 1312. Bosch recently put out new models and Sears did not have any on the floor (though on website) for me to check out and there was a lengthy wait time for Bosch DW delivery. I did read the reviews on Sears.com about the Kenmore and they were very mixed (unlike reviews on Bosch). Kenmore 24 in. Built-In Dishwasher
I owned similar 2003 and 2005 Kenmores at my former homes that I LOVED. When I moved to my new house, I decided to replace the ancient dishwasher with this model. Like most other reviewers, I bought this dishwasher based on the CR reviews, and have been sorely disappointed. It cleans no better than the 15-year-old dishwasher it replaced. I only get a decent cleaning when I use the longest, hottest cycles (turbo jets, power wash, and sani rinse), and then I still have to rewash at least 1/4 of the load again.
The most frustrating part is the clip that holds the bottom back row in place. ...

Kenmore Built-In Dishwasher w/ Light & Fast Wash Cycles
I have used my Kenmore Quietguard Ultrawash for about 7 years now. The dishwasher delivers a quiet wash cycle, clean dishes and dependable service. I replaced my previous dishwasher because I wanted a quiet one. This dishwasher definitely gave me what I wanted. I also like the Sears Card payment plan options.
