LockedKitchen Aid probs

My DW doesnt let me press anything but NORMAL and cancel.  CANCEL runs normal it would appear but doesnt ,let me press "HEAVY" or RINSE ONLY for instance.  Start doesnt work at all... ANy ideas?

Turn of all power (at the fuse panel in your home) to unit for 20 minutes.  Most new appliance have small little micro processors that can get confused.  Kinda like reboot on your PC.  Just FYI heavy and rinse only are considered waste settings so if you have a energy consev button you would not be allowed to use either setting.  That would be a rare item item on a Kitchenaid however.

Its working now.  Thank you very much  I just hope that I dont have to keep switching the breaker...

Yeah they have endless amounts of electronics and sensors. If it happens again, and maybe even now call a service guy to look at it if you bought it within the last year. Get it noted that you had this problem, cause it could come back, and if it is outside of a year then it's no longer under manufacturer warranty.
