6011 isn't a bad model, but it's what I refer to as the contractor's special. It's usually the model that contractors purchase when they're building a home so they can say the kitchen has a disposal. It will grind up food into chunks, but the grind chamber is plastic and the grinding elements are galvanized steel, which can (and will) corrode. It's also going to rumble quite a bit when it's gobbling up scraps. And, the warranty is only 1 year.
If you make the small jump to the next model up (60572), you increase the motor's power by 50% (3/4 HP), you increase the warranty to 5 years, and upgrade the grinding elements to stainless steel, which are far more durable. It also has some sound insulation, to cut down on the noise. The $35 or so in price difference are extremely worthwhile.
