Bought this for my husband for a Father's Day gift and he had it up and running in about 15 minutes.The screen is clear and vivid. I love that it has local businesses,gas stations,etc.. already programmed into it and I love the turn signals on the side of the unit.As stated by others, if you choose to go a different way than the way the GPS recommends it does put you right back on course to your destination from the new way you've decided to go.We don't know how to load music and movies onto the SD card yet, but the fact that it even offers these options at such a great price says a lot.As I said...

I have had this Dual GPS for about 3 days now and I love it. I can go on and on about all the features but the unit speaks for itself. The only flaw that I'm having is that I'm unable to enter a Home or Street number. This is my very first GPS system so I'm curious if all GPS systems operate this way. It only allows me to enter in Street names and Intersections. Other than that the unit is great.
I bought one of these (on sale) in advance of a long road trip to a part of the country new to me. The purchase experience was fine and I was looking forward to being able to listen to MP3s (mostly old radio programs and books "on tape", rather than music) during the trip. Well, although the first 3550 seemed to charge up fine it appeared to have a dead screen. My local sears let me return it and had another in stock to sell me. The second one worked like a charm, doing the standard GPS navigation, playing MP3s and AVI movies. I replaced the 1GB SD card with a larger 2GB one which could hold the...

An unexpected pre-Christmas surprise: This DUAL portable GPS navigation system. Something I might never have bought myself - but a marvelous piece of technology - both a useful device to have, especially when traveling in unfamiliar areas - as well as a toy to play with, experiment with all the things it will do and to enjoy in the months and, I hope, years to come. Never having had a GPS before, the only things I have to compare it with are 1) a man's admittedly limited intuition for directions, 2) road maps - I never seem to be able to find the one I need when I need it, or 3) stopping to ask...

IF I HAD TO POINT OUT A PROBLEM THAT I HAVE HAD WITH THIS EQUIPMENT, IT WOULD BE THE MP3 FEATURE AND THE PICTURES. HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO CONFIGURE THE MUSIC OR THE PICTURE INFORMATION ON THE SD CARD SO THAT THE SYSTEM CAN RECOGNIZE IT. I HAVE KIND OF GIVEN UP ON THOSE TWO FEATURES AND SETTLED FOR THE SATISFACTION OF THE ACTUAL NAVIGATION. GREAT PRICE FOR A GREAT PIECE OF EQUIPMENT.

I've had this system for 4 months now and have no regrets at all! It's very accurate and easy to add or recall destinations quickly when needed. Highly Recommended!
This GPS is so easy to use and a great price. Just plug and go. I would recommend this product.

We bought this GPS for a trip to Florida and I'm so thankful! We NEVER got lost, which is a first! It is very easy to use. Wish I had bought it a long time ago! I would recommend this to everyone.
At $249 (now $299) this product was even better than expected. I bought 3 for both parents and inlaws (and my hubby- but I kept it) It has as many or more features than the built in one in my sister's luxury car. It allows you to program your home address as well as other addresses, it has a touch screen, it is in color and 3D mode as well. Not only that, you can carry it with you when you go for a walk (if you wanted to) or bike riding...it operates on a battery that recharges.
Voice messaging is clear as well as indicator lights that change from blue as a notice of an upcoming instruction...

Want value for your money? This GPS unit is the right one for you! I got mine on a Black Friday Special at Sears for only $240+ including taxes. It has all the essential features for navigation-- route planning, day/night modes, 2D/3D views, zooming, odometer, altimeter, speedometer, time calculations, re-routing calculations, car/bicycle/pedestrian settings, turn-by-turn voice prompts, led signal lights, and so much more. I'm in a volunteer position that requires a great deal of traveling and trying to read a map at night while on the road just wasn't getting it. I purchased this yesterday and used it last night for a meeting about 100 miles from my home. I couldn't be more pleased. Little hamburger icons came up for fast food resturants along with a little ATM icon for banks. It recognized grocery stores and some local businesses. I moved from a small town to Houston, and got myself lost every time I left the house. My husband got me this, and PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
Even if you miss a turn, it will get you back on track. It can easily be viewed during both day and night...
