“Mixed Emotions”

Dyson DC14 Complete, Purple — 

I was bound and determined to buy a new dyson, I mean with the advertisement of them, you would think they would suck the carpet right off the floor itsself. I am coming from what I consider a nice Hoover WindTunnel bagged vacuum with the light sensor when it detects dirt. I have had it for 5 years now with no problems and I thought why not get a new vacuum that claims what it does, thus the reason I went and bought the Dyson DC14. I wanted to know what this thing could really do compared to my Hoover. So I set out and cleaned a 8x8 section of carpet with my hoover until the sensor light for dirt no longer came on and then proceeded with the dyson and to be honest I did not get the results I had expected. Come to find out my hoover, which was over $300 cheaper than the dyson only lost by what I would consider nothing. Now when you turn the switch to bare floors there is nothing better, I absolutley love it especially the little feelers that get up against the base board. I have no intention on returing the dyson, but do think they may be misleading that it outperforms all others. I gave it a perfect score even in performance because it did technically out perform my hoover but not by but just a tad bit. On a side not it really is disturbing on being able to see all the cat and human hair that is in your carpet and furniture. This is my first bagless and its justs mindblowing.
