Dyson DC14 Complete, Purple —
I just purchased this "awesome" vaccum cleaner as a gift to myself on June 11/07. I have been using an electrolux for many years and always thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. I have a small dog which does not shed but also have a cat & as you know they shed allot. I had vaccumed my carpets on June 10/07 with the electrolux & have been contemplating about purchasing the Dyson for about 1 1/2 months. So needless to say I did buy it & started vaccuming shortly after we put it together. Well, it was about 8:30 p.m. when I tackled the living room with my new piece of equipment & I was "totally amazed" at the amount of dust/fur that was sucked up in the container. I was like a kid with a new toy or, a man with a new tool & found it a joy actually to go over the carpets once again. It is a little tricky to figure out though how to remove the wand etc. but, once you master that you can vaccum till your heart is content. I do not find it awkward or, heavy to move around the carpets/floors & I am not a very big person. I really enjoy the length of the electrical cord as no extension cord is required. That is a treat on it's own. l also like the length of the hose which is very satisfactory. The attachments are great and will be very useful. No more purchasing of bags & filters which will also save some money. Now I can hardly wait until the weekend to vaccum the mattress which I am sure it will make me sick with what I will see in the container. I am very anxious to shampoo my carpets & start using my new Dyson on a regular basis. No, I do not plan on vaccuming everyday but now if I could get hubby to do that, it would be a real treat. Hey MEN - give your other half a "super gift" & purchase this item for the both of you. Who knows, if you do that you just might get some freshly baked cookies/muffins, pies, cakes etc. IT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.Dyson DC14 Complete, Purple
