I have 2 large dogs that shed like crazy. My old vacuums would clog up with the dog hair and I was replacing them almost every 6-8 months. I finally cracked down and shelled out the money for the dyson and it is amazing. It pulls up hair and dirt that I didn't even know was there without losing any suction power. I love the long attachment hose for cleaning stairs and the pet attachment that actually works compared to other brands. My house has never been so clean!
The Dyson animal is the best vacuum we have ever had. We have two dogs and three cats and it does a fantastic job of getting the hair off of the rugs and furniture. The amount of dirt it pulls out of a carpet that you just cleaned with another vacuum is incredible. Would recommend the dyson animal to anyone with pets in there house.
Dyson vacuums are really tough, efficient and powerful
This is an awesome machine. Great design. Excellent power. Cool filtration. What is essential though is you have to clean out the filters regularly or else the suction drops dramatically. It is easy to clean. Easy to move and manuver. Awesome looks and performance.
The only drawback is its price. It is safe to say I could go through at least 5-8 vacuums at the same price for one. It is something to consider. It is a large investment but then again its performance is excellent so you get what you pay for...
In addition to 2 young children, we have cats and dogs in the house. This vacuum sucks everything up without any problems. There are no bags to change and the canister is simple to empty. I cannot believe how much hair this vacuum sucks up everytime I vacuum. We always burned through a vacuum within a year and we've had this one for over 2 years strong! The best money I've spent!
This is a hard working unit. It does a fantastic job - we have 4 dogs and it seems that the pet fur used to be the upholstery. But it is not any more with this unit around the house.
I have had mine for 2 yrs now and brike a belt. could not find one in town so I called the factory, they shipped me 2 new belts at no cost even postage free.
I would buy another one in a heartbeat.
This is a great vacuum cleaner which is very easy to use and works powerfully on dog and cat hairs. Also quite easy to empty the dirt canister. I couldn't ask for a better vacuum.
Its only drawback, as I see it, is the price. Waaaaaaay overpriced! And I don't understand quite why this is so ? ? ? Nonetheless, I've not found any other that is as powerful and capable for people who have indoor and oudoor pets.
I completly love the dyson. I used to hate vacuuming with my peice of crap old vacuum that was just an overall pain in the butt to take care of. The dyson cleans wonderfully, it looks pretty cool, and best of all is the easy emptying of the canister. No mess at all, nothing.

The Dyson is the very best vacumn cleaner that I have ever used.Gets all the dirt up so effectively.And so easy to use,please don't ever separate me from my Dyson!
I bought a dyson because it was on sale and I wanted to see what the hype was about. Well I have it for almost ayear and it is great. I use my dyson downstair and it is heavy but when you are using it it feels like a small sweeper. My 5 year old can use it. It's easy to empty and clean out.
This is the best vaccum I have ever had or used. It may be a bit on the expensive side of things, but you get what ypou pay for, This has gone a long way to relivce my alergy problems. The amount of cat hair I can get with this is a bit staggering, and makes me worry a bit what my old one was leaving behind. The reach and the suction jsut cannot be topped.
