I have been researching the Dyson brand for quite some time now. As others stated before me....I too felt guilty at spending so much on a vacuum cleaner. I'm sure happy I did. I am amazed at how much my DC17 Asthma and Allergy vacuum picks up. IT'S AMAZING! I would recommend anyone to make this purchase. You'd be surprised at how much it sucks up and what is in the air you are breathing everyday.
I have been researching this item for months and today I finally purchased it. I felt guilty the whole way home for spending so much on a vacuum cleaner. Well, I just used it and I no longer feel guilty. This thing is AMAZING! If you are thinking about purchasing one, quit thinking and buy it. It will be money well spent! Gotta go vacuum some more now!
I still am amazed at how much "stuff" came out of my carpet! This has really been an eye opening experience for me as I just can't believe that I lived with so much dirt, dust, and dog hair in the carpets! The house smells so much more fresh and clean after just one use. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone and will never buy anything other than a Dyson! Try it for yourself and you will be completely amazed!
I LOVE MY NEW DYSON!!! I still can't believe how much crud comes out of my carpet. I have two pugs and a cattle dog who shed constantly and this picks up their hair with no problems at all. I also live in the desert with lots of dust and it picks up whatever you don't see in your carptes. My husband said after the first time I used it that our carpet looked like it was just steamed cleaned. I bought a Windtunnel two years ago because I thought the Dyson was too pricey, but I wish I would've spent the money then because it is worth every penny!!!
I just picked up my new Dyson Asthma & Allergy vacuum; completely vacuumed my burber carpet with my Hoover Wind Tunnel until the "green" light showed it to be deep clean. Then i went over the same carpet with this one. AMAZING! I was stunned at what it pulled up from the depths of my burber carpet! No wonder my allergies were so out of control! I only wish i'd purchased THIS one instead of the Wind tunnel i had paid $189 for two years ago. Would highly recommend to anyone considering "upgrading" for asthma and allergic conditions.
The DC 17 Asthma + Alergy is not the DC 17 Absolute Animal minus the mini turbine head as was told to us by the salesman. However, it still does a fantastic job of cleaning our mostly carpeted home. Initially, we were very happy with its cleaning power, though emptying the clear canister did not go as smoothly as you might think...carpet fibers, etc tended to stick along the top half. We would have emptied it once it reached the the max fill line, but only 1/2 filled to the top with little on the other side. We hope this problem remedies itself with subsequent passes. I had heard from friends and co-workers about how much they loved their Dysons, but I was very skeptical about spending over $400.00 for a vacuum. Then my Sears Canister Vac (whick I loved) broke after 8 years. I first purchased the new Dyson DC25 The Ball. I was not that impressed by it at all. I was very disappointed by it's performance for it's price. It was comprable to my old canister vacuum and I felt that for the cost, I should have been REALLY impressed by it. I was letting the price scare me about committing to this particular Dyson model but after researching it on the internet and talking to two different Sears salespeople, I am soooo glad that we decided on the DC-17 Allergy & Asthma model. The first time I cleaned with it I was so excited (this is a first for me!). I had run my Oreck XL prior to going to Sears just to see if all the reviews and hype were right on about the Dyson and THEY WERE! I could not believe the filth the Dyson sucked out of our carpet! My floors and furnature feel and look great now! I love how easy this Dyson is to empty...
