Dyson DC25 Animal Ball Upright Vacuum Cleaner (17418-01) —
I just purchased my Dyson this weekend at a Friends and Family event. I had been looking at the Dyson for some time, just couldn't make the leap! I decided that the $437 bucks was worth it in order to make cleaning less of a chore.
The DC25 was easy to unpack and assemble. It literally took 3 minutes and a little common sense, no frustration.
I love the fact that the DC25 Animal came with the turbine tool, it is an additional 69.99 if purchased seperately. There is a crevice tool that has a brush or just slide it down if you dont want it. I really love the tools because it allows me to clean the kitty house fast and pick up the little pieces of litter that seem to get in every crack. I read some other reviews regarding the Turbine attachment that mentioned when it is pressed down upon the brush stops, not true. Dyson probably was challenged with this issue and they added a vent to the side of the tool that also has a filter. This allows you to press as hard as you want so the tool does not get stalled by its own suction. Smart!
The ball is so wonderul to manuver. All the weight is in the bottom of the vacuum so the center of gravity is lower, giving the vacuum a very weightless feeling.
I think that most of the negative comments are very nit-picky. Actually, all the negatives I have read about are actually things people would comment positively on a standard $100 vacuum. That being said, there is one thing you can't deny... your home will never be cleaner and you will never feel better about the time you spend vacuuming. Instead of spreading the filth in the air and grinding it deeper into the carpet pad you are actually improving your quality of life and your family's each time you use the Dyson.
Hope this review is helpful for those of you on the fence about making the purchase. Even at the full 549.00 this vacuum is worth it!!!!
A must for those of us who are owned by our pets!
