I am very pleased with this machine. I am tired of replacing my other vacuums every couple of years, belts every month and filters. I hope this one lasts longer for the money! I love the suction and cleaning. Emptying the canister is super simple and there is no filter to brush or clean with each empty. I have 2 cats and a golden retriever, so lots of hair, and this did a great job on both the carpet and tile floors.
The one thing I do not care for is the wand. The suction is so great that it is difficult to keep the hose extended and it takes a lot of effort to use the hose. Of course,...
read full review »I bought Dyson DC28 Animal about a month ago. I was very hestitant on the cost, I had never paid that much for a vacuum. But after having it, I am so happy with my purchase. All the vacuums I've had in the past never seemed to keep their suction and the filters always got plugged up. This one has washable filters and never loses its suction even with having 3 dogs. It will be great for pollen seasons and all of us having allergies. The warranty is also a plus. Buying it at Sears makes it so easy if I ever need to use the warranty. great piece of mind! I love my Dyson!
We have three dogs which means a house full of fur and this vacuum takes care of the work. We can run the entire house without loss of power and this is the first machine we have found that can do this. The accessory wand and hose is awkward to use but I think it will get better as the hose gets broken in.
A little on the pricey side and hard to find a deal but Sears had one so we were able to take advantage and got a great vacuum for a great price.
After careful analysis of customer reviews online and testing vacuums in stores, I found the Dyson D28 Animal Upright to be the better purchase. Although I have been committed to Kirby and Hoover vacuums over the years, lately, I haven't found Hoover to be the best company & product overall. Kirby (and other more expensive, yet, reputable companies) is simply too expensive.
So, you must be thinking, "Then why did you choose a pricey Dyson?" Dyson is not cheap, yet, the company (in addition to their relationship and commitment with Sears) will probably be easier to work with in the event of a...
read full review »First a confession: For years we have written the Dyson product line off as a gimmick, sounds too good to be true, thought it was just a vacuum that someone marketed in a way to price higher. Now we've owned this for six months and clearly see that we were wrong.
This thing is uber-powerful. Its not just that you can see what it is picking up, you can see and feel the difference in the carpet. In fact it is so powerful that you have to be careful on area rugs - this thing will rub them out. Our area rugs have a tighter nap, so the stair tool works great and doesn't break them down.
The...
read full review »Wow, it really sucks, in a good way! I was a bit apprehensive as I have never spent this much on a vacuum, It cost more than my solid oak queen size canopy bed! When I got it home, I started vacuuming my living room carpet, I had only vaccumed about a 1/4 of it before I had to empty out the canister! My carpet didn't look too bad to begin with but I managed to get close to 5 canisters of dirt and cat hair out of a pretty modest size living room. I was a mix between thrilled at how much it got out, and disgusted that I has been walking on all that filth. I did go over the carpet more than once,...
