Most HelpfulAs an Executive Housekeeper I am around different vacuums. My staff recently used two of the Dyson DC 14 Animal Vacuums. We were not pleased. Granted I know the vacuum is not a commercial grade cleaner but other non-commercial grade cleaners outlasted both Dyson.

review »While I really didn't want to purchase a dyson, I have to say I am happy that I did. I do a lot of vacuuming in my home-pets, kids, lots of in and out traffic. I really needed something that would be easy to use and do a good job. I have always liked a canister vacuum because I liked the availability of the attachments and I felt I could use it on a variety of things-baseboards, get into crevices, etc...

I have four dogs and a family of four. Needless to say, when I find the time to clean and vacuum, I need to have a vacuum that does an excellent job the first time. This vacuum is the best I have ever owned at picking up dog hair and dust and I have owned a few vacuums in my life. It is extremely easy to maneuver around the furniture, under beds, etc.
