This vacuum is one of the best investments that I have ever made.  I have 3 cats and 3 dogs and when I vacuum all the hair gets sucked up with amazing strength.  The attachments are pretty cool especially the one that can be used to vacuum the furniture.  I also like how you can use it on the hard... review »

Needs Improving Dyson DC14 Animal Vacuum

As an Executive Housekeeper I am around different vacuums. My staff recently used two of the Dyson DC 14 Animal Vacuums. We were not pleased. Granted I know the vacuum is not a commercial grade cleaner but other non-commercial grade cleaners outlasted both Dyson.

While I really didn't want to purchase a dyson, I have to say I am happy that I did. I do a lot of vacuuming in my home-pets, kids, lots of in and out traffic.  I really needed something that would be easy to use and do a good job.  I have always liked a canister vacuum because I liked the availability of the attachments and I felt I could use it on a variety of things-baseboards, get into crevices, etc...

I have four dogs and a family of four.  Needless to say, when I find the time to clean and vacuum, I need to have a vacuum that does an excellent job the first time.  This vacuum is the best I have ever owned at picking up dog hair and dust and I have owned a few vacuums in my life.  It is extremely easy to maneuver around the furniture, under beds, etc.

The Dyson DC14  is the best vacum ever. I love mine. No problems realy except the bottom latch that the power cord goes around comes off all the time. It has been worth every penny. I have 2 dogs and 3 cats.
