ECU is a great community to be if you are looking for a big city feel, in a small city place. The school is dynamic, and tons of fun if you are into the social scene. In my experience, the staff and faculty at ECU have been helpful and caring. It's definitely a place where, 'what you put in is what you get out of it'. I've been here for a while now (currently in Graduate school), and love it. Contemplated going to a different school for my grad degree, but ECU is accredited, making it that much more enticing. ECU is a great school. It has great professors, many good programs to choose from, diversity, and many extracurricular activities. Financial Aid and Admissions can be a little slow but that is probably due to the large student body of approximately 30,000. There are tons of good stores to go shopping and restaurants to choose from and a little night life. The one problem that I have with the area is the crime rate. Greenville has one of the fastest growing crime rates in NC. On a brighter note, you're only about an hour 1/2 from the beach, Raleigh, and a couple of hours from Wilmington and Virginia....review »
