This review is for the Electrolux Wave-Touch steam washer EWFLS65IXX series.
It's a great machine but you can save four hundred bucks by buying an IQ-Touch instead. There is nothing a Wave-Touch can do that an IQ-Touch can not. The Wave-Touch has 4 distinguishing features over the IQ:
1. The Wave spins at 1350 vs. the IQ's 1200 rpm. No big deal. I don't think there's any practical difference in the amount of water extracted that will make a real dent in the drying time.
2. The Wave has an "Active Wear" cycle. It's not something you'd ever miss if your machine did not have it in the first place....
Looking for energy saving washer and dryer. From everything I have seen so far, it looks like the Electrolux pair could be the way to go!
This is the worst washer I have ever owned. Turned all my whites gray. This washer rinsed every load with a deep silver gray hue, All clothing color was changed after coming out of this unit. Multiple repair men couldn't find the issue. Had to replace most of my clothing do to the fact I could not remove the dye, even with bleach. Clothing came out still smelling and stained. Had to multi-wash loads, sometimes taking over four hours to "clean" a load. read full review »I had never had the front load washer/dryer before. This is an amazing machine. My clothes have never looked better, or smelled fresher. I have told several people about this, and three people bought washers just because they saw mine. I would definately recommend it.
Would love this for christmas....
