So, the DVD is coming out Dec 8th...I watched it in the theatre - it was sooo cute...but it reminds me about holiday cooking...are you using any of Julia Child's recipes for the holiday...which ones?

I actually read Julia Child's book, My Life in France, after seeing the movie.  She has such a terrific attitude about life, in general.  So upbeat and positive-her book is inspiring, in that way.  And, it makes you really want to visit France!

Man, I miss Julia Child. You know, the Smithsonian has her kitchen in their television museum, and there's a tv in there that plays clips from her shows over the years. I teared up a bit watching it, as I had grown up watching the French Chef. She was one of a kind.

And you're right, Julie. Anyone whose attitude is "More wine! More butter!" knows how to live. :)

Y'know, once a month on principle, I marinate a prime steak, be it flank, chuck, shoulder, or London Broil, grab a solid bottle of Burgundy, Chianti, or Merlot, and grill with friends.

If I have to eat kidney beans, and Ramen Pride for a month to pull it off, I will.

Some things in this world just need to be done...

And, Da Vinci Chianti is probably one of the best bottles on the market under twenty bucks.
