One of my best movies ever has been the Lord of the Rings three movies.  I just loved them!  I really like fantasy-science fiction movies.  I really like a lot The Postman (starring Kevin Costner).

What about you?

There's lots of great movies out there, so its hard to narrow it down. Personally, i found the Lord of The Rings to be very dissapointing, but everyone else seems to love it. Eh.

My top three would have to be "Serenity" "Man on Fire" (The Denzel version) and "Blade Runner".

aynfarika: Star Wars... how could I forget about that one?  Thank you for the reminder!

Gumpo: Dissapointing...?   That's make me wonder!  Did you wanted the bad guy to win?  :)   Blade Runner is quite a very good classic movie.  Did you like Indiana Jones?

Haha, no, i was just bored by all the nothing - i dont think they did anything in the first movie but walk from the left side of the screen to the right over and over again for 3 hours. And then they made two more movies, heh. Well, okay they talked a bit. And met a horrible CGI gollum. Im usually a person who wants movies to be longer, but i really thought they should have cut a good hour out of that first movie.

I loved all 4 Indiana Jones movies. The first and third are by far the best, but they are all classics to me.

Right now, I am really into movies that just make me laugh.  Those Judd Aptow movies-Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, etc.. Are all pretty good to me (although, understandably, offensive to others).

I also loved the Lord of the Rings triology.  love the Harry Potter books and movies.  I also loved Star Wars.  I remember when that was the ultimate in special effects.  Wow!  Things have really come a long way since then.

Julie, if you like those, you need to check out My Best Friend's Girl. It's got Kate Hudson, Dane Cook, Jason Biggs, and Alec Baldwin. It's really funny (in an offensive to others kind of way). :-)

Thanks for the recommendation, Junebug!  I like all of those actors, too. I haven't seen that one-will check it out next time we are renting a movie!

Only possibility would be The Hobbit.  Otherwise, there is no such thing.

WHAT...!?  A new Lord of the Rings movie???  That's new news for me!

Well, the author, Tolkien, wrote 3 related books: The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion and The Hobbit.

Of course, you all know The Lord of the Rings Trilogy based on the book carrying the same name, and maybe the only movie that could be amusing enough would be one based on The Hobbit.  To be honest, that's the book I enjoyed the most and I think would be an ever better movie than the Lord of the Rings.

Looks like it will be The Hobbit directed by Guillermo del Toro, which is in pre-production. Filming won't start til next year, with a 2011 release date.
