I purchased this at Kmart a few months ago. I was somewhat worried that I may have been throwing away my money when I bought it, but what I really took home with me was a good deal. All in all it is a good product. Only negatives are the short battery life (but I use my fan a good bit, so don't sweat...

Comfortair Remote Ceiling Fan

I purchased this ceiling fan and no instructions for mounting the receiver for the remote came with it. Called all the 800 numbers and no one was knowledgeable enough to even advise me how to install it. Finally I was advised to call a electrician which would cost me as much if not more to get it put... read full review »

For the price, can't be beat

Given that this is a minimum of $40 cheaper than any other remote controlled fan, this is a great setup. The instructions are on the skimpy side but if you've ever installed a fan before it's pretty standard. The one thing I will point out is that you should install the receiver for the remote control immediately after you hang the base. The instructions do not cover this in order, instead they mention it at the very end and I'm sure have many people taking the entire assembly back down to put the receiver in. Once installed, this thing has worked like a champ. The lights that come with it...

Awesome ceiling fan/light...

I'm not an electrician...but I figured out the instructions.... and I'm a girl!! :D

Took about 20 mins to put up with the aid of my boyfriend (he's not a qualified electrician, btw).

I've installed a few fans/lights in the past and this one was just as easy as the others.

The remote was the selling feature for me. Works great!  Put fan on highest speed setting with the chain pulls, then use the remote to cycle through the speeds.

Good Fan

The fan is very nice for the price. It works well and it's very quiet. The directions were somewhat hard to follow, but once it's put together, it's a nice fan.

Lasts Forever

I have had 2 of these fans in my house for 7 years and I've never had a problem with them. They're really simple to install, if you have installed a fan before it's no problem. I am preparing to move into a new house and will be purchasing these again. I very highly recommend them as a nice fan for a fantastic price.

I bought 2 of these fans for our new house after reading the reviews. I just purchased another one for another bedroom. They are very easy to hang, works really great and we Love the remote. We have cathedral ceiling so we had to have remotes and we got the first 2 on sale for $40 each. How can you go wrong with that price. The 3rd one I just bought ended up cost $5 more, Big Deal!!!

One thing, like the other reviews, the instructions for installing the receiver is at the end of the booklet after you have installed the canopy cover. Make sure you wire the receiver in before you install the cover...

This fan is very nice for the price, especially being it comes with a remote and can be mounted 3 different ways. it looks great also.

only complaint; it would have been nice to know the rpms on the motor before we purchased as this fan does turn a lot slower than our older ones.

all in all, it is getting the job done and the price was great.

I purchased this ceiling fan on sale for $40 and was prepared to have to take it back because "you get what you pay for", right?  Wrong.  What a deal!!!!  This fan is perfect for our bedroom.  It is so quiet that you can hardly tell it's running.  In fact, I have a difficult time getting my daughters to sleep in their own beds because they love our fan.  The only bad thing that I have to say is about the instructions...read them through completely before installing.  You have to connect the remoter sensor before you make the connections for the ceiling fan but it doesn't tell you that...

I purchased two of these fans to put in my rather large living room. I will say that the instructions were a tad bit weird and out of order but if you've installed ceiling fans before, especially with a remote, then you will be fine. I have installed 6 or 7 fans in my home, this was not any harder or easier but I didn't really use the instructions.

Like the one person said make sure you install the remote control unit in the fan while you are wiring the fan, thats the only bad thing about this fan. Unless you know the control box goes in the canopy then you would most likely get the fan completely...

I bought this fan for a small guest room and I am impressed. It comes with a remote and light (bulbs included) and the blade colors are not hideous as one would expect from an inexpensive fan. Most fans with these features cost much more.
