“Great little lamp”

This is a great little lamp. The gooseneck is very flexible and very easy to position. And it stays put exactly where you point it. At just 20 watts, it uses a lot less energy than many such lamps, yet gives off plenty of light for reading if it's within 1-2 feet of the item you're trying to light. Perfect for desktop use. I did have to replace the bulb after a year or two. My advice is to shop for a replacement bulb in advance, because they can cost $6 at a hardware store.

“You Get What You Pay For”

I purchased this lamp because I liked it's appearance and it was just the right size for the area I needed to put it. It gave off a dim, yellowish colored light which did not at all lend itself to enabling me to read bills, paperwork, etc. The SECOND TIME I used the light, it did not work at all. Now I am in pursuit of a 12v halogen bulb to see if that is the cause. Too much effort much too soon! Based on the above, I would definitely not recommend this product.
