“Great Vacuum at a Great Price”

We read all the great reviews of the Eureka Boss Vacuum (Consumer Reports Best Buy) and found (at the time) the best price on Kmart.com. It shipped free and very came very quickly. The vacuum is great. It has great suction power, thanks in part to a switch that can direct all power either to the hose or the floor roller, so they are not competing for power usage. The Power Paw attachment actually does work quite well also (a similar tool on my last vacuum was not worth its weight in pennies). Just two "cons": first, the vacuum is heavy. However, its power makes up for it. Second, the foot pedal that releases the handle for floor vacuuming is a bit tricky to operate. You have to press hard enough that you feel like you are breaking it. Once you get used to this, its fine, but its a bit scary at first. The foot pedal on my last vacuum broke after about 2-3 years of use, so the handle would not stay upright - very irritating! - so I am hoping that the fact that this one is harder to release is going to be a benefit and will prevent it from breaking rather than the opposite.
