I bought this crock pot 2 years ago. I liked the price, but the metal gets really hot. I have burned myself more than once. Today, while moving the crock pot to another counter, the handle broke off with no warning. The scalding hot soup and the black crock fell to the floor. I was lucky to get away...
I have had a round Rival Slow Cooker (wonderful too)for years but as time went and my family expanded I needed a second oval crock pot other entree's I prepared and also for entertaining using slow cooking. I purchased this EurPro at a Sears Store on sale and it was one of my best purchases of the year. I presently have a beef roast cooking in it and my house smells fabulous. It cooks meats; stews, and soups to perfection. I needed the oval shape for larger ackward foods to fit easilier. I have bought many crockpots in the past 25 years and this is by far the best I have ever had. I love the stainless steel feature, the keep warm feature and when I made beef vegetable soup the other day my whole family said it tasted different somehow and wondered if I put different stuff in - no I didn't - I think it was just the way the crock pot cooked it. Thank you.
