Not bad for the price.

I decided to chance it despite all the bad reviews.  I paid close attention while setting up.  The instructions are somewhat vague when describing the bolts for the flex plate.  You should leave the flat washers off for this piece, there are indentations for the lock washers and trying to put the...

I just got this Everlast Free Standing Heavybag home and I am very disappointed.  I have never had a problem with Sears before so this is a first.  The box was a disaster which should have been my first clue.  Once I opened it - ther were no instructions on how to assemble.  The bolts were in a freezer...

I read alot of customer reviews about this product... I was worried. Most claim its too hard to set up or It takes too long and is a major workout to assemble. The bag is hard to stuff the foam padding inside... Many complaints I've read yet when I set up the product myself, I did it within 30 minutes. Instructions were very easy to go by. I Didn't even break a sweat very simple to set up. With enough wieght in the bottom, it doesn't move around even with a hardest hit. I have about 600 lbs of weights in the bottom of mine instead of water or sand. It works out perfect, I highly recommend this...

Don't BUY!!!

Had bag for a little over a week before I used it, because that is how long it took me to put in together. When I got it all together the water would splash out of the bottome all over the place. Tried to kick it and it snapped in half should be listed for use by kids 12 and under. This bag is not sturdy, do not buy if you intend to get a good work out in, because it will not hold up!!!

Not used for what I bought it for.

I only got this for one reason and that was to punch it but there was a problem. I'm 6'1 or 6'2 and I literally have to duck down to punch this thing which ruins my technique. However, it is great for practicing my Muay Thai clinch on. I can use my knees to batter this bag and I love it. The only reason I gave it three stars was because it was built for someone that is about 5'7 and it should have said it on the outside of the box.

for kids only

This bag moves all over the floor when you hit it. I waited a long time to buy this. I over looked the reviews and tryed it for my self. You get a work out just chasing it around the room. I would like to get my money back and buy the stand with the real heavy bag.

It broke after one use

Putting the bag itself together was a work out. The foam mats didn't fit correctly and was a hassle trying to squeeze everything into the bag. But the bag was the least of my problems. When I finally put it all together, filled it with water (Which wasn't very effective because with every punch, the whole move titlted and moved) I used it for the first time. I got a good 30min workout from it, despite it constantly shifting around, until one punch snapped it in half. One of the tubes that screw into the base, snapped off from its own bondings. When I looked at it, it seems as if it was only put... read full review »

Do not buy!!!

I bought this heavybag as a Christmas present for my husband. It was a pain to put together! The foam did not want to fit in the bag. When he finally got the bag put together and filled the base with water, it would slide across the floor with each hit. Then, during just the third use, he punches the top off! It's not like I'm married to Hurcles, so I was really disappointed it broke so easy. What a waste of time and money! Do not buy this product!

something different

i bought this training bag as a different type of workout. i love it! it's durable enough for real training- the base filled with water or sand makes it steady. the adjustable height range is also great for anyone, from a little guy getting out his aggression, to the adult who wants to practice some kicks. i definitely recommend this to anyone who wants something to mix up their daily workouts!

Good for occasional use

I bought this for my husband for christmas last year and he really enjoys it. The padding is excellent. The only thing he doesn't like about it is that when you hit it, it rocks too much. He would have liked the base to have more weight to hold it down. It works perfect for occasional use though and for recreational purposes.

The bag deflated after the first 15 minutes of use and I wasn't even hitting it hard. After reading the other reviews that seems to happen quite often. Had I read the reviews first, I don't think I would have bought it. Don't make the same mistake I did. I really am disappointed with Everlast. They did not live up to their name on this one, usually their products are more durable. They should stop producing this product until they re-design the inner air bladder and make it so you can actually punch it without creating leaks.

training bag

I purchased this for my boys 11 and 10 to use to practice their TAEKWONDO. The bag is a little high for them to practice their low kicks. It was a pit of a pain getting the styroform in the bag. But overall I think it is worth the price. Other sites charge alot more for shipping. I could have chose to pick it up at the store, but was too lazy.
