What kinds of grocery items would you like to see us carry at your local Kmart?

Kmart missed the supercenter boat a long time ago, but maybe Sears Holdings could look into reviving the Super Kmart format or maybe new Sears Grand stores with a full grocery?

Alot of customers would appreciate the one-stop shop involved that dosen't include 'Wal-Mart' or 'Target' in the name....

In my section of the woods Kmart is the anchor store with a supermarket neighbor, like stop and shop or pathmark, so that might not work as stated they missed that boat long ago, they may need to explore other avenues.

Perhaps if Kmart took the same approach as aldis? All private lable with a guarantee
made by the best private lable and name brand companies???that might work if a neighboring supermarket doesn't have an exclusive contract being the only "supermarket" in a particular shopping center or strip mall.

In my area, I have three grocery stores and a superstore all within 1-2 miles of my local Kmart and I would have to retrain myself & form new habits to make that type of change (shopping for all my groceries). I dont think it would be very cost-effective for Kmart to produce their own grocery line at the moment. I think if they can keep the basics on-hand then people can always pick up the basic items they run out as needed. One advertising pitch could be, "You need it? We got it! Milk, eggs, flour, drinks cookies, chips etc".  Yes, I said cookies & chips too. To some, they are basics. LOL

Take a look at target for a clue...gourmet items poeple can afford..targets
archer farms products are 90% wonderful , yes a few clunkers but mostly
wonderful especially there choxie chocolate....this all depends on Kmarts
view...growth and develope or stay relatively the same as far as stock and offerings...
They can produce there own line of gourmet and or grocery items becuase they already must have relationships with private label firms. If an aldi's or target example dosn't get Brass going
both of which represent different segments of groceries and food the only alternative is junk
food and do this Retail guy would be  a poor choice.

I would like to see more essential food items in the sears store. I needed bread they didn't sell it in this store but they had peanuts and snacks and such. I didn't see milk either it could have been there I just didn't see it. Plus there is not a grocery store for at least a mile or two in that area,So I believe it would help to be able to run into sears essential and pick up everything in one stop. I had to go to the store when I left there tonight. But I just found it about three weeks ago and I love it plus it is closer than wal-mart.

Food at Sears?

That would be like selling nails in with the hammers!

I got John Deere popcorn tins, over to KMart, last year.

Now, if Sears only had Craftsman popcorn tins...
