Kenmore Elite 16.7 cu. ft. Upright Freezer
I've been a Kenmore customer for many years. I had originally bought a Kenmore freezer (14 cf model 28432) which I was very unhappy with. I exchanged that freezer for this Kenmore Elite (17 cf model 28712). I am very happy with this new freezer. It runs quietly, efficiently and is an Energy Star. The outside is sleek and stylish with rounded corners and a temperature gauge on the door. It has an alarm to notify me if the electricity for the freezer has gone off or if the door was not fully closed. KitchenAid 18 in. Built-In 50-Lb. Capacity Ice Maker
I love this ice maker. It does a fantastic job keeping up with my demanding entertaining lifestyle and the ice is consistently fresh. The auto cleaning process is easy and quick. If you are not familiar with ice makers take note that these are not freezers- the ice cabin is only refrigerated which means the unit is constantly making ice as the older ice melts away. This is a good thing and keeps the ice fresh but some folks are surprised how often the thing runs. If you only occasionally use ice, energy wise this may not be for you.

Kenmore 13.7 cu. ft. Upright Freezer
BASED ON READ REVIEWS, IT'S A **** SHOOT ON THE NOISE. IF YOUR'S IS QUIET, I'M HAPPY FOR YOU. THE SEARS PEOPLE SET IT UP AND LEVELED IT AND THE FREEZER PART WORKS FINE. LIKE SOME OTHERS, I WOULD HAVE RETURED IT THE SAME DAY IF I HAD TO HEAR THIS THING IN MY HOUSE. I HAD PLANNED AND HAVE PUT THIS HOWLER IN MY GARAGE WHERE IT WILL DO NO HARM.
