LockedFreezer Alarm

I have a Kenmore upright freezer that is located in my garage.  Two days ago we had a power outage that only lasted a couple of minutes.  When the power came back on, the freezer alarm started to sound off and the red light was glowing.  I assumed it was just trying to tell me there had been a power outage.  I attempted to use the reset button but that didn't help.  I unplugged the freezer for a half hour thinking that might force a reset but it didn't.  Now, the display is flashing an alternating -10 and 6.  I can't find this addressed in the manual.  Can anyone help?

Can you provide the entire model number, so we can find the manual, as well as search for solutions?

Try replacing the battery in the back of the freezer.

Thanks, I'll try that.  (Sorry I didn't respond sooner but the notification was sent to my spam folder and I didn't see it.)

I also have a Kenmore upright, model #253.9280412. The alarm is going off and it will no longer vacuum seal the door closed. Any suggestions?
