I installed this dishwasher this past weekend. It has a nice stainless interior and holds a decent amount of dishes. It doesn't have a food disposal in it. I think the specs on Sears say it has a stainless steel macerator but it doesn't. Just a filter. I knew this from reading the manual before...
we replaced an older frigidaire with this model. Both are 18 inch models. The interior of this model is much smaller and the racks are a joke. If you have small flat plates and drink out of shot glasses this dishwasher is for you. I should also mention that if you have standard 36 inch counter hight...

I've just torn out my 3rd unit, all just over a year after install. I installed these units in an apartment complex in every unit and 3 have gone bad - all with the same problem, first it starts leaking water and then the water pump goes out. We are going to be proactive and just replace them all - This has to be by far the worst appliance experience I have ever had in my 34 years of construction experience!
I've had this dishwasher for a little over a year. Had no problems with it until about a month ago when it stopped pumping water (of course, just after the warranty expired). I had the pump replaced, worked for 2 loads, then stopped again. For how expensive this little dishwasher is, I expected it to last longer! I'm not too thrilled to be handwashing dishes with my $600+ broken dishwasher 2 feet away.
We live in older home with original cabinets, so we needed to get/look at the expensive 18-inch models. We bought a Frigidair 18-inch model. Lots of difficulties with this brand/model. Half the time the detergent holder does not open and dishes do not get clean..you can't put any tall items near the door. Then last week the door latch broke (only 5 years) and we're not going to replace with this brand.

After extensive research, I choose this model based on brand name, stated energy efficientcy, color and style. The washer itself is a beauty however, I have a few issues with the racks and run time. The racks are narrrow and designed to hold ONLY uniformed sized dishes, bowls and cups. To wash larger bowls and plates would require running a second load. The silverware tray is very narrow , as well, and doesn't allow for larger sized utencils....read full review »
