Nice Oven

The oven is a drop in replacement for 20 year old GE units and even includes a trim kit to make up the size difference. (The old GE oven was 1" taller). This oven gets high quality marks from Consumers Reports and my last GE lasted for 20 years. An alternative is the Frigidaire, also a nice unit with... read full review »

Cheap oven ~ expensive to fix

This oven is no better than the older model we replaced it with. Hated to buy it but it was the only model that fit without major work to our kitchen. If you buy it, here are few suggestions: 1) Never bake pizza or something else that requires high heat (450 or up). The electronic clock control kit will... read full review »

GE 24in Gas Built-In Wall Oven

Well, I thought I was getting a good buy, and an easy replacement.  I purchased this unit about 5 years ago when I needed to replace the dated unit that came with my house.  Up until recently the oven worked fine. I had to get use to the space (kinda small compared to a traditional oven), but that was a minor adjustment.

Now, that I've grown attached to my oven it has decided to just stop heating up.

The oven comes with a 1 year warranty so, I called GE and they offered to sell me an additional 1 year warranty for about 375 dollars or a 5 year for around 500 bucks. Must be paid in full. Ouch!...

Absolutely Horrible

I have owned this unit for 3 weeks now and have failed to have one dinner cooked in it. Had GE techs out to my house and could not really define the problem with this unit. It heats up to 220 degrees and then shuts off. I am very digusted with sears and this unit. The GE tech ordered 5 new parts to hopefully get a brand new unit going. Not only do I have to take time off of work for the tech to be at my house, not once but twice, so far(who knows how many times) it is very inconvenient to me.

Numerous problems

After 4 years the IGNITOR died. Then the OVEN SENSOR went bad. Now the CONTROL PANEL display is frozen and I tried unpluging it for more than 5 minutes to reset it to no avail. GE should refund back to all its customers who purchased this cheesy unit. They used inferior parts, and should be class action lawsuit because I know i'm not the only one with all these problems.
