By far the most frustrating appliance experience ever. Unit was repaired 5 times before we received a replacement. The new oven worked for one day before the bake ignitor failed. We won't ever buy GE again...Check other reviews and you will find that the bake ignitor and the gas valve are prone to fail.
I loved cooking in the oven...then, the igniter went out. It was expensive to replace. I thought it was a fluke. Then the igniter went out again--on Thanksgiving day!! I don't know now whether to replace or buy something else.
our ignitor went out within the first year. Then went out again...Then the mother board went out, and cost over $500.00 to replace. Now the ignitor has gone out again, and this is all in the past 5 years...
1,2,3,4, ignitors replaced and then the motherboard died. the cost to replace the motherboard was more than the Kenmore wall oven I replaced this bad apple with. I have seen other reviews that site the repeated ignitor failure and it is clear that it has been ongoing with no fix by the manufacturer. Would strongly suggest not buying this oven.
