“GE Dryer = back saver”

I love this dryer. I had previously had a very similar model, which lasted 10 years with no repairs, which I think is pretty good. I hope this one lasts at least that long. “6 years and done....”

We've had this dryer for 6 years, and the felt wore out of it, which caused the drum to come loose and a bearing to wear out. The repair estimate was $260. The repairman said that the felt wearing out is a common problem on the GE line, and there is no way to check it/prevent it until there's a problem.... read full review »

“Absolute Garbage”

This dryer has convinced me to never again buy another GE product.  The knobs on these wear out repeatedly.  We found a company to replace them.. but I count 5 in about 1 year.  Here's a tip when you go to the shop pull one of the knobs out and take a look to see if the attachment point is cracked.  I tried to steal one from Sears.. but to my dismay someone had already beaten me to it, and replaced the knob on the the store model with their own cracked one.  Secondly.. it takes FOREVER to dry.  The moisture sensor just doesn't work.  We had the repairman in to check it out.. and he checked...

“GE Dryer”

We have had this washer AND dryer set for NINE yrs now and have had NO problem with it, I absolutely love the pair.  I have to buy the electric set now due to moving and I am buying the same set.  It washes quite well and dries rather quickly.  We have never needed to have it fixed and would def recommend this product to fam and friends.

“GE Dryer”

This dryer was no good and it is not any better then the matching washer that continues to go out during a cycle and I have to restart it. The motor in the dryer went out after just a year!

“GE has successfully designed an inherently problematic dryer. ”

Initially we were happy with it and everything worked fine.  Gradually near the end of the first year it would vibrate and rumble in a periodic fashion corresponding to the backward/forward travel of the lightweight drum. GE replaced the front plastic support for the friction bearings. According to the service tech, that plastic would warp out over time and create the issue. The replacement supposedly had a more stable plastic material. After a couple of months the rumble/vibration returned. GE then tried replacing the drum on the possibility that is was warped. “Very unhappy with this product”

We bought this product less then a year ago. It Broke and took sears 2 months to fix it. They didn't fix it correctly and it broke again. I would not recommend this item. I don't think a washing machine should break in less then a year.

“Outstanding”

GE has always been an outstanding product. This dryer for $349.00 was chosen from (8) dryers researched. It provided the best deal and the best options. My wife is very happy. The extra large capcity is great. The dryer was easy to setup. The image profile fit into dryer space with no problems. My only issue was the pigtail for the dryer hooks up at the bottom. If a washer problem were to occur, there could be an electrical problem.

“Dryer is a good buy”

THis dryer has some great features--like it can tell whether your towels are dry and continue the cycle until they are dry. It does sometimes take several cycles to get them dry, which is the only drawback for me. It is not really loud and is easy to clean when the vent gets lint in it.

“happy consumer”

I love this dryer! My first one lasted 20 years. Now I am the proud owner of another one. My husband has been a farmer and a surveyor. I am a teacher. Our clothes come out wrinkle free everytime. You can not go wrong owning this dryer.
